Very rarely do you leave a physicians office and feel compelled to tell that physician that he or she is the greatest. That is how I feel about Dr. Malik. The adjectives are (patient, kind, understanding, answers all of your questions, informed on all meds, realistic, expects the patient to follow her instructions). Every time I leave my appointment I have to tell her again how very awesome she is. I would never ever even consider seeing another pulmonologist. Only if all doctors could have her qualities what a wonderful world this would be!

Dr. Melik is the most wonderful pulmonologist a patient could ever want. She is patient, kind, and understanding. You never feel pressed nor rushed and she answers all of yours questions. Do not walk but run to see Dr. Melik: she is terrific!

I took my mother to see Dr. Melik yesterday concerning a decline in her ability to breathe due to her COPD. My mother is 90 years old and wants to stay active, but she doesn't always want to follow a doctor's advice. This was evident to Dr. Melik, who took it in stride, and by the end of our visit, my mother was singing her praises and now understands how she can improve her life by following the doctor's advice. The time spent with us and her patience with my mother was exemplary.

Dr. Melik has become a breath of fresh air for my dad compared to his previous Pulmonary doctor. She is up on new treatments and services for COPD and other resperatory ailments, she will not sugar coat the information, and she holds the patient responsible to what they agreed to in previous appointnents

Dr Melik-Adamyan is now located in Los Alamitos, CA. I found her to be a no-nonsense doctor who didn't prescribe multiple tests until after trying meds and other solutions. She took an amazing amount of time with me. My husband is also her patient.
