Dr. Madhava Baikadi, MD

Dr. Madhava Baikadi is President of the radiation oncology physician group, Radiation Medicine Associates of Scranton (RAMAS), and is currently serving cancer patients at the Northeast Radiation Oncology Centers (NROC) two sites in Dunmore and Mercy Hospital in Scranton for over 15 years. Dr. Baikadi earned both his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Mysores Kasturba Medical College, India. He completed his internship at Kasturba Medical College Hospital and his residency at Indiana University Cancer Center, IN. After completing his Fellowship in Radiation Oncology at Duke University Cancer Center, NC, he served as chief radiation oncologist at Brook Army Medical Center, TX. He then served as chief radiation oncologist at the Oncology Therapy Center of Scranton before joining RAMAS. Dr. Baikadi is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.

his extensive experience with Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) cancer treatment, his …specialized expertise in radiation oncology includes Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, and Hyperthermia. He has served as Principal Investigator for national cancer clinical research trials through the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG), sponsored by the National Cancer Institute, and has also participated in community cancer research through the South West Oncology Group, Gynecologic Oncology Group and the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project. A recipient of the Armys Meritorious Service Medal and the American Board of Radiologys Therapeutic Radiology Award, Dr. Baikadi also has authored numerous publications and is a member of several national professional radiation oncology groups.
