Dr. Madhu Hooda, MD

Went to her 5 years ago for a Pap smear (which I was not informed of prior to the appointment, it was sprung on me). Expressed I was not comfortable and I was dismissed and told she would not refill my birth control until I got a Pap smear. When I reported her to TMB, she just denied everything. Would not recommend for women going in for gynecology care

First of all , I must say, if I could give 10 star's I would, but seeing I can only give a 5 , I'll do that ,with lots of Gratitude on top of the 5. Intellect, Kind,, easy to talk to and a Great listener. Everything you could possibly pray for in a Doctor. Thank you Dr Madhu Hooda, you gave a smile to my Heart!

My first meet and interaction with Dr. Hooda was very positive. She was very friendly, gentle, and non-judgemental. What I liked most is that she truly believes in a wholesome approach to Preventative (rather than Curative) lifestyle practices such as meditation since all dis-eases start first from the lack of mental peace and balanced lifestyle. I am extremely happy to come across a doctor who prefers you to be healthy in the long run rather than look for quick-fix 'pop-a-pill' kind of remedies which are more like band-aid fixes for broken bones.

Dr. Hooda is an great physician with an excellent bedside manner. She is very caring and selective about which drugs to prescribe, and is very thorough in her diagnosis. I travel far from her office location simply because she is worth the time.

I would not recommend Doctor Hooda at all. I normally see another doctor at ARC and was incredibly disappointed in my experience with Hooda. After I told her that my spouse and I use condoms as a birth control method, she told me that I would get pregnant and that condoms have a 20-40% failure rate, which is incredibly false. She told me to go check webmd.com, a terrible source of information, to verify what she said. Condoms are an effective birth control method and STD preventative. To say otherwise is deceptive and lacking a complete care for her patients. She name dropped a type of birth control pill several times, which leads me to the suspicion that she receives some kind of financial incentive from pharmaceutical companies. Overall, the experience was astoundingly disappointing. It was very clear that she did not care for her patients.
