Excellent pediatrician! Very heavy case load but finds quality time for each of his patients . A true gem in Onslow county

I guess I am the only one who gets treated like crap by this doctor.. he is very snotty and doesnt want to answer my questions. He never comes to me on his own I have to ask to speak to him when I want a update on my son who was born at 34 weeks, and is now 36 weeks and 3 days.. When I ask about my son he doesnt tell me anything I want to know or ask to know, he tells me they cant send him home because of this reason but then tells me not to worry about it, its no big deal. My son is eating over what they expect, gaining weight gloriously, only thing is he is having Brady's (where the oxygen level drops) My son pulls himself out of them on his own, they only last seconds and the oxygen level barely drops.. theyre so minor that they call them insignificant, and I have been told by nurses that they can go home with these minor ones, but dr mittal will not send my baby home and wont even give me an estimate of when he can come home, he tells me not to ask, he doesnt know I just have to… wait. I do not recommend him to anyone, which it seems as if he only treats me this way..

My son was born at 28 weeks and barely weighed 2 lbs. Dr.Mittal delivered him via emergency c-section and stabilized him for transport to a higher level facility. He returned back to Dr. Mittal's care after a month and my family and I are eternally grateful to this man. His knowledge in neonatal medicine is outstanding and to have such an experienced Doctor on staff at that rinky dink hospital is a blessing.My son spent nearly three months in the hospital and I personally saw him treat and monitor those babies in his care as if they were his own. He treats the entire family and understands the stressful nature this ordeal can be on a family. Our son wouldnt be here without him and on every birthday we remember Dr. Mittal and his efforts each year too.

This man saved my sons life overr and over. He treats everyone with respect. When I think of him all I can say are great things. My son loves him dearly. I have seen him wear thesame clothes for 2 days because he would not leave "his babies sides" he treats the babies as if they are his own. I once overdosed my preemie son with his heart medicine accidently Dr. Mittal was not upset at all he just told me he expects these things to happen, he calmed me down and assured me all was fine. If you are lucky enopugh to have him treat your child you will see how amazing he truly is.

Dr. Mittal saved our daughter's life and gave me important information regarding my own health that the Naval Hospital failed to do. My husband and I are very grateful. Dr. Mittal treated us as if our daughter was his only patient. He went out of his way to make himself available to us. He always gave us an accurate picture of our daughter's health, never sugar-coating her condition while making sure we never needlessly worried. He is a Godsend!!

My baby was born at 33 weeks weighing only 3lbs and 13oz. So of course he had to spend some time in the NICU. I am serious when I say that man was in there everyday and most of the time twice a day. I was in the NICU breastfeeding my baby on at least two occasions where I was witness to situations that proved how passionate he is about his work! He is awesome! And his wife is even better because I am sure she deals with a lot on her own!
