Dr. Madhusudhan R. Yakkanti, MD

Dr Yakkanti performed total knee replacement on both my left (2019) and right (2025) knees. I have been a patient for over 8 years, and during that time have found him to be an excellent communicator of medical terms, and a wonderful listener to my concerns. As someone who has had arthritis since age 35, I have had surgery and received many steroid shots in a variety of joints over the years. I tell Dr. Yakkanti and my friends he has an amazing ability to find the joint with very minimal pain! He surrounds himself with excellent staff and recovery from my knee replacement in March 2025 was beyond my expectations. I now have mobility and pain control I have not had for almost 2 decades. Dr Yakkanti was attentive and concerned. I was diagnosed with hip bursitis. He made sure I was comfortable and understood my healthcare plan.

Dr. Yakkanti performed hip surgery on me in 2022 .He did an excellent job and I am pleased that I choose him for my surgery. He has followed up with checkups .if I have any more needs for orthopedic surgery, I plan to return to him .

Great doctor who has helped me deal with 3 difficult infections in my joint replacements 2 in my knee and one in my hip. He didn’t do the original surgeries but helped me when it went bad and no other doctor would treat me.

Dr. Yakkanti is a wonderful surgeon. It makes me very happy when I have an appointment to see him and I actually get to see him instead of a PA. He takes wonderful care of his patients and answers all your questions. He is just the best! I would recommend him to anyone.

Wait time...Like the Dr Doctor, This was the first time I seen Dr Yakkanti. The wait time from the time that i checked in to the time I left his office was 3 Hrs. WAY to long.

Great doctor he is doing my second 2 stage total revision in 3 years. The problem this has ruined my life I’ve lost everything snd I have wanted to just not go on. My stress and anxiety has been throught the roof so when he get upset because I should care to heal my incision that just adds to how I feel about not wanting to go on. I am 2 hours away from him so it is not easy to get up there on short notice. Also he didn’t bother to ask me about the wound center I used it is a very sterile facility and is run by out local hospital with wound care doctors. So don’t get mad because I used someplace close to home to help me. Also when I tell you I believe a device used during my original surgery and revision cause the multiple infections don’t dismiss it. There is evidence this is true snd have some understanding about this being possible.

He did my surgery after a bad fall and I was brought to hospital in an ambulance! I even had to go to rehab! He did a wonderful job with my surgery and all the nurses were saying how lucky I was to have had him do my surgery !! I am healing very nicely! I thank God he was my surgeon!!!

Dr. Yakkanti is awesome! I worked with him in the operating room and he took over my care after a traumatic car accident in Arizona. I chose him because he has done trauma surgeries and I knew if something went wrong when I came back to Kentucky he would be the one to handle my followup care. It’s a good thing I did this as one of the tibial plateau fracture screws tried to come out and he removed it. In the operating room I saw him fix breaks I thought couldn’t be fixed. He is pleasant and professional and I feel lucky to have worked with him and have been his patient too!! Thanks Dr. Yakkanti!!
