Dr. Mahesh K Tekriwal, MD

In 2004 I had heart attack and the Doctor I had visited me at Hospital and sent me home saying it was just muscle pain. Three days later at the same Office having the pain return , but different Doctor upon seeing me he admitted me to SOCH NJ for Heart Attack. While waiting in emergency room 10 hours to be transported to Deborah Heart Hospital in NJ a Doctor who we found our was Dr. Tekriwal was talking to another patient about his condition. My wife no being too happy with my current Doctor after his misdiagnosis, said you should get that Doctor. After a week in Deborah Hospital and upon discharge I asked the Doctor assigned to me at Deborah and other Doctors there, could they recommend a Doctor in my area, they all said Dr Tekriwal. I been with Dr Tekriwal and Dr Veldanda now going on 15 years and I still here thanks to Dr Tekriwal I'm still here.

He was rude to me....Did not listen...His social and verbal skills are terrible. When I tried to ask him a question, he said, "I'm talking". When I questioned him about something, he replied, "Are you questioning a cardiologist?" I told him that I, too, had a doctorate and he just brushed it away like my doctorate was worthless. As a counselor, I sensed a touch of narcissism. When he tried to explain something to me, it made no sense. Maybe he was just having a bad day, but I left feeling quite angry.

Dr. Tek. is a GREAT CARDIOLOGIST! He is caring, compassionate, & listens too & addresses all questions and concerns. I'd also like to add that he stood right alongside of me during my stress test on the treadmill. HE IS TOPS!

He saved my husband's life. University of Pennsylvania misdiagnosed him and he ended up at a local hospital ER. Dr. Tek listened to him, diagnosed him, rushed him to Deborah Hospital where they did open heart surgery and saved his life. Follow up appointments were always prompt and Dr. Tek always provided answers to our questions. I hope I don't need a cardiologist anytime soon, but if I do, it will be Dr. Tekriwal.

DR TEKRIWAL IS THE MOST COMPASSIONATE CARING AND THROUGH CARDIOLOGIST I HAVE EVER KNOWN. HIS BEDSIDE MANNER IS WONDERFUL. HE IS ALWAYS KIND AND COURTEOUS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE ONE SEEKING CARDIAC CARE.

Doctor ok Staff very rude

Felt very rushed by doctor as it appeared he was anxious to complete office visit as quickly as possible. Very curt; disrespectful comments. Poor bedside manner. Was told "Don't waste my time" when discussing followup app't for heart catheterization. This after waiting 1 hr, 50 mins to be seen! Will never go back or recommend this doctor.
