Dr. Maila Alohalani Coleman, MD

Dr. Coleman and her staff are incredible! We've traveled alot with the military and this is the best care we've received anywhere in the world!

maila coleman was my kids doctor. i tried to schedule apts. for over 3 months. i was told by her workers that my children were assigned to another doctor. i continued to call my insurance company. finally the insurance manager got on the phone (we 3-way called maila's office) the insurance manager heard the office lie to me again, and spoke up to correct the situation. only then did the secretary change her story. the insurance manager told the secretary the office DID NOT follow protocol, and that ETHICALLY maila was to provide service until i was able to find a CAPABLE doctor. insurance manager adviced of protocol, to write a letter, and again reminded her of the 30 days to provide the needs on my and my family. we both asked maila to call me right away for a perscription, TO DATE NO CALL.insurance company confirmed with me, several families seeing doctor coleman have been re-located for similar issues.this was documented, and i was asked to write a formal statement to my… insurance company so they could f/u and decide weather to keep or drop her as a provider!so HAPPY with my WONDERFUL NEW DOCTOR!, it was nice to see farmiliar faces in the lobby, all from maila's practice!also, maila was not extended a renewal invitation for another group here, to be a doctor on their care list...all unfortunately for the same reasons!

this doctor has issues, went to my place of business to have words with me... really? "i" had to explain to her, it's not about me or you, because you are a doctor, it's about the health of the children. she pretends to be "nice", but if she doesn't care for you, watch out... she will go to no limits to lie, and have her staff lie... what a shame.

This is the kindest, most caring, and gentle ANGEL we could ever hope to have take care of our baby.

Dr.Coleman has been my child's pediatrician from delivery until present. He will be 6 next month. At his 2yr. old check-up, I expressed my concern about a possible speech delay. Dr. Coleman immediately referred us to Easter Seals which is our local early intervention service provider here on Kauai. He's been diagnosed with Asperger's and doing very well because of early intervention. A psychologist recently shared with me that Dr. Coleman was very helpful during a recent re-evaluation because her records of my son were thorough and she was very nice. We will be moving to another island and we will miss Dr. Coleman dearly! She's the Best!
