Will give you as many referrals as you want because he gets a bonus for every referral, but will not be in any way a doctor, will take away meds you need. First do no harm you idiot.

Louanna and Lisa have been going to Dr. O for SEVERAL years and wouldn't go to anyone else no matter how long it takes to get an appt. (If he's not available on a short notice appt. his PA's are great too). We like him so well that we have 3 neighbors who we sent them to see him. ALL 3 are very happy also.

I moved to the valley a few years ago and my health insurance had him in my insurance card so I went to him. I explained I have lupus and have been tested and treated for lupus, among other things, for over 15 years. He didn't believe I had lupus, did not read my medical records, even said they never received it but my old doctor sent them 3 times. I actually had to pay for my own copy and brought them in and still he wouldn't read them. One of my tests came out positive but he still refused to accept this. Till today I am still looking for a good dr will listen. Meanwhile I see anyone but him for all my issues which doesn't include lupus. He makes me feel like I'm a bad person for wanting him to treat my lupus and for wanting and searching for another doctor that can treat me. He is the absolute worst and am in the process of collecting all my info and medical records needed to make my complaint with the Nevada Medical Board, Medicare. Gov, and my state officials. Im also thinking,… and in the process of, looking for s lawyer. Lupus is a terminal disease particularly when not treated for at all.

Dr. Ontanillas is an excellent dr but very hard to get an appointment with. I couldn't get an appt even 3 months out.... Had to switch.

My first time to see Dr Ontanillas. I was less than impressed. He sat at the computer and did not do an exam. I told him I needed two refills on my meds and he questioned why I was on them. I explained and he said he disagreed. However, since I had been on them since 2012 he refilled them for me. I needed them refilled with my mail in pharmacy which I told him. He sent the refills to Walgreen’s. I also asked if I could get a sleep study. He was very hesitant but then agreed to referral. He left the room. The nurse came in with paperwork for me to complete. I waited about 20 minutes. Finally, the nurse came back in and said she thought Dr Ontanillas was coming back in to talk with me. The nurse apologized. I also asked Dr Ontanillas for an Emotional Support Dog letter which I need every year. He just looked at me and said I had to get that from my psychiatrist. I explained I did not have a psychiatrist. Dr Ontanillas did not provide a psychiatry referral. This was… the worst visit. I would never recommend Dr Ontanillas. He was filling in for my regular doctor who is on medical leave.

He doesn't have much time for you. He loves to get people in and out of the rooms in a hurry he must get paid per patient he sees. Because your in and out with no explaination.
