Dr. Malini M Khanna, MD

I saw Dr. Khanna for severe back pain that I thought was just the result of aging. After having an MRI, Dr. Khanna told me I had severe scoliosis, a twisted spine and alot of arthritis. Surgery and bracing were out. Basically she told me "we can't fix this" and the plan of treatment was pain management. I started with physical therapy which helped somewhat. She suggested cortisone shots which worked great but lasted only 7 weeks. Next course of action she recommended was radiofrequency ablation of the nerves. It has been documented to give 6 month to 3 year relief. Needless to say I was quite apprehensive about it but she was wonderful. She explains everything and talks you through the whole procedure explaining also what to expect after the procedure. And everything she told me has been right on the nose. She is sweet, knowledgeable and genuinely cares about helping her patients. I truly would recommend her...she has helped me immensely.

She was very helpful at first, the pain went away but about 2 years later when it came back and after many spine injections and nerve ablations she basically told me that was all she could do, wait and see, call me if you need me.
