Ill start by stating I’ve never posted a negative review online in my life, but this one is more than necessary. I am a Medical Esthetician and love what I do. I moved to Los Angeles as the next step in my career. While starting out there I worked at a wax center, it was vigorous to say the least, for one year. My hands hand been hurting for quite some time, but being that I have a high pain tolerance and am not one to complain I carried on. Two months later I felt excruciating pain in my neck, and both of my arms went numb. I was having electrical shock pain throughout my body. I am a 35 year old female, my family is in Boston, living across country solo, I had no choice but to file a claim, something I’d never wish on anyone yet a system in place supposedly for this reason. Upon meeting Dr. Berenji she seemed compassionate, could sense the pain I was in, and kindly reassured me that regardless of the claim issues, she would be ethical and do right by me as a doctor, as my main… concern was my health. Foremost Insurance, a whole other story, took an entire year to approve a claim for an MRI on my neck. As of today its been deemed Ive lost 23 percent use of my hands from having double carpal tunnel. I also have mild stenosis, mid cervical spine with a disc herniation that is in contact with my spinal chord. I was only able to be treated medically for these after one year of suffering because of my attorney, who ordered me a qualified medical exam from a Doctor in California. Soon as Dr. Berenji experienced Foremost Insurance lack of payment or approval for an MRI, I was informed by case was dropped. I was in total shock because I believed and trusted her words as a Doctor. Not only did Dr. Berenji refuse to treat me, she wrote a medical report that ordered me back to work, in CA, lifting 50 pounds and doing extremely high volume repetitive waxing movements looking down, stating I reached maximum medical improvement, before ever addressing my neck injury or treating my already diagnosed double carpal tunnel syndrome from my PCP in California. My attorney, who has over 30 plus years and was more than kind and communicative to her, was astonished at her ethics, actions, behavior, and complete disregard for my health care. His exact words were in all of his years in the field, he has never seen anything line what Dr. Berenji did. I was astonished at the disconnect between her actions and words, and went to my follow up visit, which she sneakily tried to bi pass as soon as Foremost didn’t give her her check or approve medical services, by submitting this report a week prior to my visit. I confronted her on the matter and asked her what had happened in between my first visit and now. We made a patient Dr. agreement to get me back to health, and before that could even happen, not only did she violate that but she refused to treat me, leaving me stuck in a broken system. I could go on, its not worth it. Dr. Berenji, to say you ought to be ashamed of yourself is an understatement. You are no Doctor! Nor did you care about my health. The implications of your actions were far reaching. How you could look at a patient, with such care and concern, and proceed with underhanded, unethical, cunning, careless, harmful and deceitful behavior is beyond me or any words. Do the world a favor and retire. Highly do not recommend in any capacity, as a physician or a human.

My mom is suffering from back pain and she was very helpful and straightforward in explaining her options. She even tried to speak Spanish to her to make her feel at ease.
