Dr. Manish Prabhakar Kapadia, MD

I have had several issues with taste/smell and burning mouth syndrome after a blunt force trauma fall to the face. My ENT recommended I see a neurologist, I chose Dr. Kapadia based on a friend recommendation as well as all the positive recommendations on the web. I am happy with my choice. Dr. Kapadia is very personable and thorough, knowlegeable and caring and I believe goes the 'extra mile' with respect to patient care. Totally happy with my choice of Dr Kapadia as my neurologist.

Dr. Kapadia is a phenomenal physician. He is not only highly knowledgeable in his field but displays compassion and is extremely patient. He took the time to explain in detail all of my test results and a plan moving forward.

Dr. Kapadia spends all the time he needs with you. Never makes you feel rushed and answers any questions throw at him.

Dr. Kapadia is the most compassionate, kindest, most humane doctor I have ever seen concerning my migraines. I have had migraines for over 50 years. They became intractable and debilitating this past year. Another neurologist I had been seeing became frustrated that her treatments were not helping and directed that frustration toward me. That's when I transferred my care to Dr. Kapadia. He has been patient and willing to keep trying different options. His kind manner and up to date knowledge is reassuring and goes a long way to maintaining my hope that relief is possible. He is easy to contact and responds quickly to messages left for him. Finding Dr. Kapadia was truly a stroke of luck for me.

I was recently in the hospital at CDH with a severe problem to one side of my body. Not only did Dr. Kapadia take almost 24 hours to actually come see me after being admitted from the ER, he walked in and basically said because its not a stroke or tumor I can't help you because I don't know what it is. The nurses were shocked he discharged me. My symptoms got worse over the next week. I am now working with a wonderful doctor with Dupage Medical Group who spent 45 minutes with me in an initial consultation, that's 42.5 minutes more than what I got when I was admitted. And the conclusion is looking like MS. So, thanks for missing that Dr. Kapadia. You did your job really well. You really showed you cared. I really hope you consider other options before discharging or ignoring your patients next time.

If I could choose no stars I would. I have been experiencing several very painful symptoms for over a year and had seen Dr Kapadia a few times seeking answers. Dr Kapadia performed my EMG and he was very rough and cold. It was very painful and I felt very faint afterwards and when I stayed to recover he treated me like I was an inconvenience. During follow up visits Dr Kapadia treated me like I was crazy and actually did suggest I see a psychiatrist for my symptoms. (Every other specialist I have seen says that it is a neuropathy issue and not just in my head.) Dr Kapadia said "I should just be grateful I don't have the diseases he treats" Yes, because I'm so grateful for my undiagnosed debilitating pain. He was not compassionate or helpful in the least! He also doesn't share test results. I was a wreck waiting to get my mri results and after several weeks had to call to get them myself. He also still has not posted all of my test results on mychart making it difficult for… myself and other doctors to see full medical history. I definitely don't recommend him to anyone.
