Dr. Manisha Balhara, MD

I saw Dr balhara a few years ago. I found her to always be in a hurry at not wanting to take her time or listen to me. I felt like I wasn't taken seriously. One time when I went to her I was telling her that one of my symptoms was seeing flashing strobe like lights when I close my eyes to rest. She said oh you have a migraine. She told the nurse to go and get something and Dr Balhara walked out. Nobody even asked me if I had a headache which I didn't. She was in and out so fast I didn't have a chance to respond to her she never came back. Her nurse came back and gave me a shot. She turned off the light told me I could stay and rest for a bit. I left after a few minutes feeling confused. Another time I went to her for a physical it was extremely rushed. None of the normal routine questions were asked. After a short visit she said okay you can get dressed. As I was getting down off the table to get dressed she came back in the room and said I forgot to give you a breast exam.… Another instance I had been going to her several times over the course of 2-3 months because I was not feeling well. I was nauseated, dizzy and lightheaded. It made working at my job very difficult . Each time that I went to her with the same complaints and each time she told me it's just your acid reflux. She made me feel dumb. I felt like she didn't take me seriously. She made me feel like I was wasting her time. I went back to see her yet one more time and told her that the dizziness was so bad that I felt like I shouldn't be driving the car. She said ok lets do a brain scan. I said all right. I felt like her demeanor short, blunt like she had a point to make. So we did the scan. I waited for the results she came in and said I have good news you have a sinus infection . I said what! That's crazy... I can't believe I had to have a brain scan to find out I have a sinus infection. She said that I should be happy. But I was not happy. All that time being so miserable and not once did Dr Balhara look in my ears, nose or throat. After being on antibiotics for 2 days all my symptoms were gone. I felt great. All I had to figure out now was how I was how I going to pay for everything.

I love this lady. She has helped me in so many ways. always caring and explained things to me in a way i could understand the issue. cannot say enough good things about her. I miss her here in Aberdeen.
