Dr. Mendez is an outstanding vascular surgeon who is most thorough in his assessment of his patients. He listens carefully. Each time my husband has seen Dr Mendez, he has been 100% correct with the diagnosis and treatment plan. Most recently, my husband was in a life-threatening situation in the hospital and it was Dr Mendez who saved the day. The appointment was right on time. Everybody was friendly and professional. Nothing could be asked for more.

Made my appt several weeks ago, called several times during those weeks to see if they had any cancellations- they did not, totally understood. Showed up for my initial appt yesterday at the scheduled time to be told that i had been "bumped" for some reason from the schedule- office staff could not explain. Office Manager, Ms Mendez, was extremely rude, unprofessional and lost sight of the fact that the patient was the customer and they as the provider made an error and should have worked at correcting it. Instead of Ms Mendez's first words being "we are very sorry about the mix-up , let me see when we can fit you in as soon as possible" she became extrmemly rude, told me to find another Dr and asked me to leave. She literally closed the slide window while i was talking and continued to make rude hand gestures. I will assume she must be related to the Dr and realizes that no matter what her behavior is there are no consequences. I work for a company with 15, 000 employees- I think we… all know how that goes- I will tell as many as I can of the unprofessional behavior of staff and this is probably not the office you would want to use, they will in turn tell someone, so on and so forth. Ms Mendez should not be the first point of contact with potential patients until she has acquired acceptable customer service skills.
