Dr. Marc David Abramow, MD

Dr. Abramov assisted my husband a little over a week ago, and I must say, he truly mastered the art of brevity. His initial approach was quite... efficient, if efficiency is measured by how quickly one can dismiss a patient's concerns. But, as the minutes ticked by, he started to thaw. Slowly. Very slowly. Communication might not be his strongest suit, but I’m sure there’s a good heart in there somewhere. A little patience (from both sides!) might go a long way, and perhaps listening to patients' answers, even when they’re not as cut and dry as his questions, would be a bonus. There also seemed to be a minor gap in communication, possibly due to not reading the nurse’s notes beforehand. Maybe he was just too busy saving lives or contemplating the meaning of life itself. Competence-wise, I have no doubt he knows his stuff. It’s just unfortunate that part of his job involves actually talking to concerned patients. But hey, nobody's perfect!

I was in the ER last week at Emory Johns Creek Hospital and was treated for extremely high blood pressure by Dr. Marc D. Abramow. He had my blood pressure within a normal range in a very short time and recommended that I stay overnight. Dr. Abramow is an EXCELLENT DOCTOR and I was very pleased with his care. Alice P.

I happenend apon this page looking up another doctor and came across Dr. Abramows name. I still have flashbacks to the terrible way I was treated in the emergency room by him.. I hope that no one ever has to experience his lack of empathy and his lack of compassion when they are in an emergency room. One day something will open his eyes to what an ugly person he is.

Dr. Marc Abramow saw my husband in an ER situation, his staff was somewhat cold and uncaring, but Dr. Abramow was phenomenal and very innovative in his care and thinking.

Dr tells me that he is confused as to why I am hurting. The CT did show stones in my kidneys, but stones in the kidney don't cause pain??? Only when they drop do they hurt...???!!! OK... This is why I have had many stones removed, and know very well what kidney stones are about, and how they hurt like a SOB. This man made a darn fool out of himself, and was speechless when I asked the question of HAVE YOU EVER HAD A STONE? Worst ER and MD I have EVER visited. I think he printed his medical licence off the PC... Still questioning how this BUTT of a man could be a MD!

I was recently a patient in The ER department where Dr. Abramow is a physician. I was very disappointed, this so called Dr. Was extremely rude, belittling, and spoke as if he was talking to a 2 year old. I couldn't get a word in edge wise. He actually told me my condition was false.... Which baffled me. I have gone through many procedures to reach the diagnosis. The man actually called my complaints idiotic. I can't believe this man is allowed to be a Dr and treat people, especially in the ER department. I will be submitting a formal written discrepancy to the ER Department Chief. If you ever get this Doctor in the ER, please ask for another Dr. Right away.

I went to the emergency room with trouble breathing and severe stomach issues. The staff at the facility were kind and courteous and took the necessary steps and tests to determine what was causing my symptoms. However, when this doctor came into the room they put me in, he was very rude and cut me off when I was trying to explain what was going on with me even though I couldnt breathe. I was trying to explain to him what medications I was taking and got the name of one wrong. He yelled at me and told me to get the name of the medication right before we could continue the conversation. I couldn't believe it. How can At the end of the visit, he told me that he could do anything for me and that I needed to go home and take a benadryl. He immediately advised his staff that my visit was over and they came and got me out of the room. I went home with the same symptoms I went there with and a couple of days later, I was in another emergency room! I cant believe this type of "doctor" is… allowed to treat patients, especially in an emergency room. In my opinion, he should not be allowed near anyone or anything that has a beating heart. if I didn't go to the other emergency room, I would probably be dead right now. A few weeks later, I received a bill for a few thousand dollars! For what?? Nothing at all! In my opinion, this guy is an awful, horrible person that should have his medical license revoked!

Saw his PA instead of the doctor himself. The PA was arrogant and would not listen to me share about what medication I could not take. This was my only emergency room visit I have ever had in my life and it was for a migraine. He said he was giving me an antihistamine as part of the "migraine cocktail". He said it would make me sleepy. I told him that it would not make me sleepy...it has the opposite effect and I can't take this medication. He gave it to me anyway and I immediately could not breathe. Felt like my lungs collapsed and I could not breathe. I thought I was going to die on the spot. It took two hours for the medication to leave my body. Why the PA would not listen to me and believe me boggles my mind. I think Dr. Abramow needs to re-evaluate what PAs he hires. This older PA has terrible bedside manner and won't listen to patients. I have not taken action but should.
