Dr. Marc Adam Agulnick, MD

Not very happy with this Dr's office. I have left messages, tried chat, called, emailed. No replies. He was my Surgeon many years ago. Was really hoping to get to speak to him about my surgery. No reply, no call return, the office seems not to care. Very worrisome for an extra busy surgeon not to have reviews in today's world.

I got surgery with Dr. Agulnick on September 2022. Outside of the first time I met him and then seeing him in surgery, I have never seen him again. You always see his PA for your appointments. I'v been going there for 5 months. When you ask where is Dr Agulnick, you're told that he reviews the x-rays and then tells the PA what to tell you in the appointment. My last xray showed possibe loosing of screws at C7 and recommended a cat scan. Insurance request a peer review for which he never responded. The PA or Dr. Ugulnick did not even review my xray. They were about to say that all is good and see you in 2 months. Fortunetly I had a report of my xray and put the PA on the spot. He then glanced over at the report as though he hadn't even read it. The PA assured me that they would follow up and not kick the can down the road. Now 3 months later I get a denial from insurance and have to submit my xray to insurance. Insurance has no record of that xray. Loose srews can cause Osteomyelitis,… which is a bone infection that can lead to septis. I would definetely not recommend him to anyone. The lack of follow upo from Dr. Ugulnick can lead to your death if you have any issues.

I was looking for an Orthopedist.My PC recommended him.I scheduled an appointmenting to expected to meet with the Doctor.instead a PA arrived.Told me to get an X-Ray and an MRI I did so.Arrived at next scheduled appointment with my history and recent results.I was asked for a co-pay,check or cash only.After waiting 50 minutes,I demanded my check back and left.Not ONCE DID any of the 4 people behind the reception desk came out to apologize for the absurdly long wait.One told me the Dr. was VERY BUSY.I told her I was busy as well.

My mother was a previous patient of Dr. Agulnick who decided to see him again for cervical spine surgery. Unfortunately, her experience with his office and NYU Winthrop was a complete disaster. She was in the ICU for about 5-7 days in complete nonstop pain and Not once after her surgery did the doctor come see her. The last time she saw him was before her surgery and while in the PACU post surgery (she has no memory of him coming because of anesthesia). She has seen his PA for every follow-up appointment since. The PA never gave her a complete evaluation despite persistent complaints of numbness and tingling. Furthermore, the office staff is terrible and condescending. They speak to you as if you know nothing. To make matters worse, you have to wait close to 2/2:30 hours just to speak to the PA for 5 min who doesn’t even remember who you are. This was by far the worst experience from beginning to end. Would not recommend this office to my worst enemy.

You never get to see the doctor except in the operating room, you see a PA and then you are rushed in and out in 3 minutes...always a long wait...never again!!

I had a revision of a previously failed surgery on my back. I had been in pain for many years and was living on pain medication. After an extensive discussion and review of my situation, I decided to have the revision surgery. I have never been happier. My pains have decreased significantly, and I am again enjoying life. I am so greatful for Dr. Agulnick's time, caring, and above all treatment.

Dr Agulnick told me he could do surgery on me that he could put in bigger diameter screws to fix what was wrong with my first surgery. I walked out of the office and I didn't hear from him for weeks. when I finally called him back his nurse told me that Dr Agulnick advises I go for physical therapy. I had told him during my visit that I had tried therapy several times and it did not work. How can you tell me that there are no nurses in my back obstructed when I have severe pain in my back, butt, down both legs, and tingling and numbness in my feet. Stay away from him.

Years of back pain left me confined to my home. A fall topped it off and I ended up at Dr. Agulnick’s office. I had lumbar, fusion and stenosis surgery and I am now more mobile than I have been in years. Thank you Dr. Agulnick for giving me back my life.

By the time I found my specialist for reconstructive spinal surgery, Dr. Marc Agulnick, I had already endured four other surgeries that were worthless. He restored my broken body and made it work again. I no longer need my walker, cane or wheelchair. He is highly skilled and surrounds himself with very competent professionals. I entrusted my life to this surgeon and I recommend him to all.
