Dr. Marc L. Otten

Dr. Otten took excellent care of me when I found out I had a pituitary tumor. My hormone levels went to normal, and my symptoms got better. I strongly recommend you see him if you have a brain tumor.

I saw several neurosurgeons when I found out I had a meningioma. I had never heard of this tumor, but then I started to find out friends of friends who had them, and several recommended Dr. Otten. He explained the situation so clearly, and everything worked out exactly as he said it would. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I was having seizures and losing vision in my eye. Dr. Otten and his team removed my meningioma. I was so scared when I was told I had a brain tumor, and was worried I would lose my vision, or worse. Dr. Otten explained things to me so clearly, and even before the surgery, understanding the problem made me so much better. Then the surgery went great, and my vision got better. He and his team are wonderful.

I had a pituitary tumor, and was gaining weight, my bones hurt and I was becoming a diabetic. Dr. Otten did surgery, and all of those problems got better. He is professional and smart, and I am so happy to have my life back.

IF I COULD GIVE 10 STARS I WOULD! I had a seizure 4 years ago that was caused by a meningioma. The meningioma grew over time and edema became an issue. Dr. Otten precisely diagnosed my condition and the extent of the procedure required. Four personal doctors (2 relatives and 2 close friends) all said that Dr. Otten should perform the operation. I went into the hospital on a Monday and left Wednesday. During my 2-day stay EVERYONE that recognized Dr. Otten’s name as my surgeon commented how capable he is -- one nurse that attended to me related that Dr. Otten saved her father’s life! I am not too quick to give praise but his skill, professionalism, and warm interaction with my family is exceptional. Furthermore, Ann, the office manager, is terrific. She scheduled everything, notified me when an appointment had to be cancelled (due to an emergency procedure that Dr. Otten had to perform) and expressed a kindness that, at times, is needed!

Everyone from the nurses to the other hospital staff told me how lucky I was that Dr. Otten was my neurosurgeon. I feel great, and agree that he did a great job.

Dr. Otten took out my pituitary tumor, and I've been doing great. There is no evidence of tumor, and my endocrine function is normal.

Dr. Otten took the time to understand what I was going through when I found out I had a glioblastoma. It was such a scary time, and he explained everything so clearly. It's been almost two years, and I feel like I've been given a second chance. His honesty about what to expect with surgery, and the treatment that followed, was wonderful. In a time when it feels like so many doctors seem to be rushing, Dr. Otten treated me with compassion, honesty and skill. I sent a friend to him after she learned about a pituitary , and she has been so grateful to have found him.

I started having seizures around Memorial Day, and my neurologist ordered an MRI. It showed a large tumor in my frontal and temporal lobes. I was referred to Dr. Otten, and he did a surgery while I was awake, in which I was reading, talking and moving my arm. Everything went great, and the oncologists said it was a great resection on the MRI after surgery. It has been a hard summer, but I am thrilled with Dr. Otten. He saved my life, and he and his staff have been professional, kind and gifted.

I saw Dr. Otten for a second opinion about my growing meningioma. He explained everything so clearly, and surgery went exactly as planned. I am so grateful to him, and can't recommend him highly enough.
