Dr. Marcela G Del Carmen, MD

post op for tumor removal, surgery site tore open twice in two weeks. Nightmare. Was sewn up like a cartoon. Suffered nerve damage. One year later, had to have mesh implanted, with a different surgeon and different hospital, to repair damage. This surgeon came into the waiting room at the hospital and told my husband follwing my last surgery, that he had to repair 3 layers of torn muscle, only to find 'a hole' above my intestines that 'looked as though the other surgeon (del Carmen) never even tried to close." Urgh.

Dr. del Carmen is an exceptional caregiver and surgeon. She is highly skilled, personable, and caring. Her reasons for becoming a doctor include taking care of people. If only ALL doctors felt that way... I highly recommend this doctor to any woman in search of a gynecologic surgeon. She is among the best in the country if not the world.

Marcela saved my life. It is as simple as that. She is a warm, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor who is confident and able to put the patient at ease from the very first appointment. She is thorough and willing to go beyond her call of duty. She operated on me on a Sat. morning before she left on vacation. She didn't want me to wait another day. My ovarion cancer was in an early stage so she was aggressive and successful. I am cancer free 2 1/2 yrs. later and can thank Marcela for that, and I do, every day.

Dr. Del Carmen is one of the nicest people I have ever met. You immediately feel at ease when you meet her and can tell that she really cares about her patients. She will go out of her way to make sure you get what you need and that you are happy. She is a brilliant doctor!

Dr. Del Carmen is great doctor. She is warm and you really feel that she would do whatever it takes to get you healthy again. I needed surgery, and she explained everything ahead of time and why it was needed. I felt that she had my best interest in mind and made suggestions that other surgeons hadn't. I felt she was very confident and competent at what she does on top of having a nice bedside manner.
