I had received a truly upsetting heart diagnosis from a PCP who referred me to a specialist. Armed with data, expert exam skills and clear communication, he made it clear that barring a minute issue, I am, in fact, fine. I hail from a state brimming with I the best and the brightest and never imagined I would find a similar level of expertise here in Santa Fe. Gratefully, I have.

He wanted to start me on Amioderone, the first side effect of which is DEATH. He already had me on a beta blocker, a calcium channel blocker, and two different blood pressure medicines. I stopped seeing him and saw a functional, holistic doctor who got me off all the medicines. My a-fib stopped for more than 5 years.

I have seen Dr. Simard several times over the last year following scary episodes of high afib. He is very experienced and knowledgeable about heart conditions and various options for treatment. He takes all the time necessary to completely understand the issues, and I feel that he really listened to me. He explains things in a way an ordinary person can understand. He has helped me a lot, and I highly recommend him to others.

Dr. Simard provides sufficient time to address all concerns and questions, ensuring one fully understands their medical situation. He has vast experience, is very knowledgeable, and has a great personality. He diagnosed my condition and the medication prescribed provided immediate and positive results. Before departing each visit, he ensures I know how to reach him 24/7. Dr. Simard is a truly caring physician.
