Dr. Marcia Couto Ribeiro, MD

Dr. Reibero is amazing. Full of knowledge and compassion. I feel better after having her take the time to hear all of issues. We developed a plan together and I must say my migraines have minimized and their severity has lessened.

Dr. Ribeiro has changed my life. I suffered migraines for over 30 years and no one ever took my headaches seriously. I would get placated by my primary. No one ever referred me to a ENT or Neurologist. Then I was recommend to Dr. Ribeiro by a friend. It has been 7 years now, and I have never felt better. She takes her time, explains everything in detail and follows up. I cannot say enough good things about her.

Dr. Ribeiro does not care to listen to her patients talk at all. She asked me a question on my migraine history and medication use and would not let me finish a single sentence. She kept interrupting me as I was giving her the important information. She then doesn’t clarify instructions even when I ask a question on her awful handwriting for scripts. The pharmacy didn’t even know what to do with it. My migraines aren’t fit to a schedule and she needs to understand that I get them frequently and some medicine doesn’t help. I use the medicine when I get a migraine as she told me to do! She then told me I’m using the medicine too much but sorry if I have had a migraine for several days and her medicine doesn’t stop it and I have to take it because she told me to when I have the migraine. She tried to tell me that how I take the medicine is wrong even though I followed her specific written instructions. You shouldn’t have to be leaving an office crying each time. I’ve tried being… patient with her, but it’s not worth being humiliated and ignored each visit. She is inconsistent, inpatient, horrible communication and listening skills, constantly yelling at her receptionists, and intolerable. Won’t be returning and will never recommend her to other people.

The doctor was rated poorly, but gave her a shot anyway. She tells at patients who in turn are humiliated front of others.Very disappointed. Doctor very impatient

I can write enough good things about Dr. Marcia Ribeiro. My migraines were terrible. She was most knowledgable and informative. I no longer suffer from migranes.

After 15 years of misdiagnosis, and in more pain I didn't think a human could stand, I was referred to Dr. Ribeiro, She examined me thoroughly, and we discussed the possible diagnoses and next steps. Within 2 months, I had a diagnosis (Trigeminal Neuralgia), and was given medication that helped some with the pain. I saw Dr. Ribeiro for 7 years, and she never stopped trying to get me better pain relief. I have never had a doctor who was as caring and determined as Dr. Ribeiro. She traveled often to seminars all over the country (maybe more) to learn of cutting edge treatments. Every time she found something that could possibly help, we'd give it a try, some more successful than others. She always asked me about my life, and how things were going. She also discussed each treatment possibility with me, and took my concerns and ideas seriously. She never tried any treatment without my full knowledge and approval - even if it meant waiting a month so I could do more research… on my own. She always treated me with compassion and respect. I only stopped seeing Dr. Ribeiro when I had to move out of state. She was willing to see me, but my insurance would not cover any scripts from out of state doctors. I have a perfectly competent pain doctor now, but he's much more conservative, and has not tried any sort of off label med with me. I can't complain, but I sure miss Dr. R.

Dr Ribero is one of the warmest, most caring professional doctors I have met. I have been her patient for 6 plus years and she never fails to ask about ME! All the little things, you have an office visit then a basic physical "reaction" visit. (I guess depending on your diagnosis.). If I need her in between appointments she is available. She is one doctor they would have to drag me away from!

Dr. Ribeiro is the first doctor I've ever seen ( in my over half-cent. of life) to personally come into the waiting room to greet and bring the patient in... and she has done this each and every time I have seen her. From that moment -- after virtually no wait time, since they usually run on schedule ( what? another miracle already?) you have her undivided attention and a remarkable sense of true caring throughout the appointment, ( -- never feeling rushed; adequate amount of time always spent to address all relevant issues). She is a brilliant woman, excellent doctor, and an all-around excellent, caring human being; altogther, a rare and very special combination, and a gift to the world.. In my own personal experience, I first saw her after six yrs. of suffering severe headache and neurological pain, 24/7, following a traumatic injury. After seeing at least 3 neurologists -- none of whom came to any diagnosis, other than that I had 'neurologic pain'-- and despite various… therapies, had no real relief. You can imagine, after long difficult years with little progress, how great it was to meet Dr. Ribeiro, who was able to 'tease apart' my complicated array of symptoms, arrive at appropriate DX's in my first visit, and to proceed immediately to find ways to begin and continue improving pain management over time. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Dr. Ribiero is one of the best doctors I have ever been to! She is very caring and takes the time to listen to me! She has also accomplished controlling my Migraines which no other doctor has been able to do for me! Her Office Staff are just as caring and courteous!!
