Bad Manners..bad Doctor!

Please do not lose time with this Doctor; the waiting time is ridiculous: I waited for 2 hours in one day and another day 1:40 minutes and the least time that i waited was 1 hr and 15 minutes. She is totally unprofessional; she will listen to you and whatever you say, she will always "shake her head"; she will always say to you: you have "psicological issues" and many times she will make you cry and say something like.."listen..you are confuse..listen..i'm the doctor..no you" and.. "you need do whatever i say to you.."..and the list goes over and over. She is rude; no skills ever and she doesn't care for her patients..to me looks like she is just there waiting for go home. Horrible doctor, bad behavior. I never will recommend her for nobody...I mean so far 3 of the Doctors from Jupiter Medical Group that I had was really bad. If you like yourself..do not lose time there.

I can only describe her as unfocused, even bumbling and confused. Trying to sort out my Meds from another Associated Doctor she referred to a PDF Book. She even seemed a little combative at the end. Never Again.

She seems to favor saving the insurance company money over finding out what a patients ailments are.

DOCTORS IN ALL ASPECTS OF MEDICAL CARE DO NOT HAVE IT EASY. DEALING WITH INSUCRANCE COMPANIES, MALPRACTICE INSURANCE AND DIFFICULT PATIENTS TO BE SURE, MAKE FOR A TOUGH TIME DAY AT THE OFFICE. HOWEVER, MY 76 YEAR OLD MOTHER HAD A VISIT WITH DR. EGAN THIS MORNING THAT I WILL KEEP IN MIND FOR A LONG TIME TO COME. IT DID NOT START OUT THAT BADLY, WE WERE SEEN BY HER ONLY 45 MINUTES AFTER THE SCHEDULED TIME FOR THE APPOINTMENT AND THIS IS CERTAINLY SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE AS PATIENTS USUALLY SPEND OVER AN HOUR IN THE WAITING ROOM AFTER ARRIVING FOR THEIR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS. MY MOTHER WAS RECENTLY DIAGNOSED WITH STAGE 2 LUNG CANCER AND I AM PLEASED TO REPORT THAT ALL OF HER DOCTORS INVOLVED IN HER CARE HAVE BEEN BETTER THAN I COULD EVER EXPECT WHEN IT COMES TO COMPASSIONATE COMPREHENSIVE CARE. BUT NOT DR. EGAN, DURING OUR SHORT VISIT WITH HER, SHE OFFERED NO ENCOURAGEMENT, NO FEED BACK REGARDING THE VERY REPUTABLE TEAM OF DOCTORS THAT PRACTICE WITH HER AT JMC, AND REALLY NO INTEREST IN HER PLIGHT WHATSOEVER. PLEASE KNOW THAT EVEN THE BEST DOCTORS HAVE BAD DAYS. I CAN SURELY UNDERSTAND AND ACCECPT THIS. THEN SHE EXPLAINED THAT HER BUSY APPOINTMENT CALENDAR AND HER FORTHCOMING 2 1/2 WEEK VACATION WOULD MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO BE A PART OF HER PALLIATIVE COORDINATED CARE TEAM AT JMC. I CAN UNDERSTAND AND ACCEPT THIS. BUT THEN SHE ADDED THAT SHE WILL BE ENJOYING HER 2 1/2 WEEK VACATION MORE THAN MY MOTHER WILL BE ENJOYING HER INITIAL RADIATION AND CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENTS AND I AM NOT SURE IF SHE NEEDED TO SAY THAT.

Dr. Egan's quality of care, knowledge and good will toward her patients is good to excellent. What could be improved on is her impatients if having to repeat herself if you didn't understand the first time, and staff scheduling appointments and not allowing enough time for paticular longer appts. I have even seen patients booked too close together. It is a given she will spend 30+ with each patient and their rcord updates. New patients receive 1- 1/2 hours and she plans for this. My suggestion is too call ahead and ask what her time frame is for your appt. I too have waited the same length of time and from now on I will call ahead.

Doctor has recently moved to a new location. Lots of confusion and this visit I had to wait 1 1/2 hours. Seems someone doubled up on her appointments.
