Dr. Margaret Hovey, MD

Even though I had heard tons of nasty things about this doctor. I decided to give her a try due to lack of options and soonest availability. Wish I could give a lower rating. Hovey was rude, unprofessional, did not respect my wishes. She pushed testing on me I did not want and refused to treat me for what I came in for. She was judgmental and manipulative. Will be telling everyone I know to avoid her like the plague.

I started seeing her in the beginning of my pregnancy and didnt like the way I was treated. She seemed to not care at all about my well being and was very snobby. I didnt feel comfortable with her caring for me with her full potential so switched providers.

There are simply no words to describe how disgusted I am with the level of care I received from this doctor and her staff. There was an emergency with my baby and I did not hear from her or her staff for two days and when I finally did it was her assistant letting me know she would call me later that afternoon.. I never heard from the woman. I called her office before closing begging for answers and they informed me she hadn't even looked at my file and no one could tell me if my baby was okay or not, in fact they were annoyed as if asking them if my baby was even alive or not took time out of their day. Save your time and your baby and call literally anyone else in town.

Very late many times ( 60 mmin +]. I would have liked a phone call or have been told when I went in for the apointment . When I did see her she had to sit and read the file, she had no idea why I was at the apointment . After two years I had to move on.

Dr. Hovey delivered all 3 of my babies. I'm so glad she was my Dr. She took the time to answer all of my questions and helped with anything I needed. If we ever have another one she will be my Dr. again! Her nurses are awesome as well!

She is OK but doesn't really give you a good explanation what is wron with you, leaves it up to you to decide if you want to do tests or not. Waiting time in the office is never less then 50 minutes.
