Dr. Margarita Chudner, MD

STAY AWAY from this unprofessional office. I specifically scheduled an annual preventive checkup when I made the appointment. However, when I arrived, the extremely rude front desk demanded a $40 copay in cash only. After the visit, I contacted my insurance company and confirmed that a preventive annual checkup should not require a copay. When I called the office to request reimbursement, the front desk claimed my visit was coded as an “annual plus problem.” I never scheduled a sick visit, never asked for treatment of any new problem, and was never informed during the appointment that any additional service would be billed. When I asked what “problem” they were referring to, they refused to explain. To make matters worse, after my March 25 annual checkup, they billed me again on March 26 for additional charges that I was never notified about and still do not understand. In the end, I paid more than $100 for what was clearly scheduled as a covered annual preventive visit. Very… disappointing experience with rude staff, poor communication, lack of transparency, and questionable billing practices. I would not recommend this office.

Best OBGYN ever!!! Would recommend to anyone and everyone. She is nice knowledgeable good at answering questions. I had a lot of them she answered them all to a point where I had nothing else to ask because she made it so clear to me. Also I was in the waiting room 5 minutes and that was because I had to check in she saw me almost immediately.

horrible experience as a first time patient! I found myself running out of there to be honest… I wish I read more reviews sooner!! I booked on Zocdoc about a week ago which she’s already been removed from for some reason. Unnecessary tests ordered with little to no information causing panic before I got a second opinion (chasing copays?), bedside manner is horrible, and the front desk lady communicates in blank stares. Unprofessional, shady and overall unwelcoming! If you can avoid this office I would recommend going genuinely ANYWHERE else.

Stay away for this “Doctor”. Not sure who she paid to get her license, but clearly she was never taught bedside manners. The male office staff who I can only assume was her husband did not have a clue about insurance and just wanted to have full cost of service paid without going through Aetna. Doctor was rude, extremely rough in sensitive areas and clearly did not want to listen to my concerns. She’d also ordered tests that were unwarranted and not needed once I spoke to another OBGYN about my experience. Very shady office, almost seems a front for nefarious goings on.

Dr. Chudner is professional but approachable, extremely knowledgeable and she genuinely cares about her patient's well being.

This office was the most unprofessional, rudest, and unhelpful office I have ever been to. I had a urine test done where I got the results directly on my phone a few days after my appointment. I immediately noticed there were some red flags on the results so I called the office when they opened that following Monday and asked to speak to the doctor. I was told the doctor was unavailable and to call the next day to speak to her. The next day I call, with my fiancé on the other line since he is a healthcare professional, and the receptionist pulls up my files and says "I THINK you have a UTI". I ask to speak to the doctor and I'm told that "Im not allowed to speak to the doctor over the phone" and that actually, she doesn't think it is a UTI. At this point, I ask my fiancé to interject on my behalf. He asks if we can speak to the doctor and the receptionist immediately becomes stone-cold rude and refuses. She tells us that she will call me back at 8:00 at night once she's spoken to the… doctor. My fiancé asks for her name and for the doctors medical license ID and she refuses and hangs up. When she calls me back at night, I ask her to hold so I can add my fiancé to the call and she tells me NO and that she will only speak with me. She tells me the doctor told her that nothing was wrong. At this point I am very frustrated and angry because I do not trust this receptionist since she was obviously INTERPRETING my medical results and REFUSES to let me speak to the doctor. In the middle of me saying I would prefer to have my fiancé on the call with me and that I would like to speak to the doctor, the receptionist says "if your fiancé is a doctor then treat with him" and hangs up the phone in my face. So not only did the office violate HIPPA by allowing the receptionist to access my files beyond the scope of her responsibilities, but she also INTERPRETED my files and initially gave me the wrong information, but she refused my right to have anyone I choose present with me on the phone call.

Something very, very wrong with this Doctor. Anger issues with her patients?

I came in for a problem visit and was prescribed antibiotics. After experiencing a slightly concerning side-effect days later, I called the office to quickly ask whether this warranted another in-person visit. The male secretary responded very rudely and refused to let me say another word unless it was to schedule an appointment only. He became condescending, put words in my mouth such as "why do you think you're more important than other patients" and hung up on me many times. A fair question that takes a few seconds to answer should not require the patient to pay for a full appointment first, and I have not experienced this issue with ANY other doctor in my life. I had been a year long patient at this point and felt highly misunderstood so I went in person to clear things up amicably. The secretary remembered me from the phone and yelled at me to me and my mother's face. When the doctor walked by the office, I said "hi" because we did not have any negative interactions thus far and… I was relieved she might be able to address the situation between me and her employee (keep in mind it's a two person office). However, she directly glared at me then walked away not saying a word. After that, I realized I was only worth a check in their eyes. This is NOT how doctor-patient relationships should be and I don't wish this inexcusable treatment upon anyone. Take the time and find yourself somewhere better.

Great docror, extreamly clean office, the staff is professional and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Chudner. She is super knowledgeable and professional.
