Dr. Margarita Garcia, MD

She convinced my parents it was a good idea to send me to an "emotional growth boarding school" at a very young age. Unfortunately this poorly-vetted organization turned out to be a child-centric offshoot of an established cult (Synanon) and was ultimately shut down amidst countless abuse allegations and a few kids going missing. The experience left me with severe PTSD I continue to struggle with as an adult. In full disclosure, I genuinely liked Dr. Garcia as a person when I knew her, but I would be weary of any programs she endorses. Parents need to do extensive research before sending their children anywhere they can't be on site to observe what is happening - especially for programs that encourage limited or no contact with family.

This doctor has basically been a blessing for my family in handling our daughter ( 6 years old) autism diagnosis. In addition to autism she has severe ADHD. She recommends ideas to us and helps us to navigate the every changing world of the "spectrum." We have never had a bad experience with her and will continue to see her as long as we can!

Have you ever been to a doctor that made things worse? Well, if that's what your looking for, you've come to the right place. Why would a psychiatrist want her patients mental state to become a bigger mess? One word....GREED!!!! She is inappropriate & not helpful. Theres no solutions when working with her...just a lot of finger pointing & anger & resentment. She openly guides kids to answer how she feels necessary, puts ideas in their head and comes up with crazy instances that never happened. So very spiteful. Google her name and Arkansas medical complaints. I'm not alone here. Dr Garcia I hope you read this. Your pockets may be fat, but there is blood on your hands. Parental Alienation is REAL....get educated and do your job or retire.

Dr Garcia is the most in compassionate person I've ever met. She cares more about her dog than she does her patients. She is pushy has a god complex and has her favorites. I would not take my dog to her.

She is very rude and opiniated She acts like she only cares for certain patients. And her dog.

I would NOT recommend taking your child to her.

My family has been with Dr. Garcia for 11 years, and she has been an absolute blessing! She has always been extremely cautious in herdiagnoses and more importantly, in prescribing medications for my children. She's always been very open and willing to listen to my concerns, and has even been available in emergency situations for my family. She is one of our "Angels on Earth"!

I have an autistic child and see Dr. Garcia for medication to help with behavior issues. I know several families with autistic children or children with other behavior issues who also see Dr. Garcia. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about her. I think she is a wonderful doctor. One thing I really like is that she tends to be conservative when prescribing medications. I know several kids who have seen other psychiatrists and were put on too many medications that actually made matters much worse. I would highly recommend her.

I found Dr. Garcia to be easily manipulated. Her main focus seemed to be money over the welfare of my children i was promised things that she never followed through with. The most concerning thing that i heard her say to me, was, after we spoke about my husbands fasination with grafic child pornography she stated "just because your husband has these fantasies DOES NOT mean he is not a good father " It was horrific and I would emplore you to seek treatment elsewhere my family to this day is worse off than before she came into the picture Some ideas to get you started:-Write about overall experiences-Write about what you like or dislike about your physician-Write about whether you would recommend-Write as if you are talking to a peer who is asking your opinion
