Dr. Margarita P Shugol, DO

She does not take the time to listen to you. She's too busy talking into her recorder while you're speaking so she clearly is not really listening to what you have to say. She's dismissive. I left the practice because of her.

Wish I’d researched before choosing M. Shugol. Few redeeming qualities. She had greater interest in her computer work and recorder for note taking than me. Talked over me. Dismissed my specialist’s diagnosis and she does not hold a degree in that specialty…..Dangerous. The one time she truly looked at me and not her computer was to argue with me about my preference for as few pharmaceuticals in my overall healthcare as possible. I will not return to this doctor. Poor medical care and a genuine disinterest in me as a human. Dismissive. Seemed almost bothered she had to do her job. I don’t feel comfortable taking her medical advice. Truly a waste of an hour…..My bad for not vetting her first.

I went to her when she was a stand in for my retired doctor. She is difficult to communicate with and was unwilling to accept my diagnosis of a migraine from the ER and refused to give me medicine to help treat it and instead gave me medicine for tension headaches which is not my ailment. Additionally I tried to ask for an inhaler as I do have asthma and she refused to believe that diagnosis too. I refuse to see her when i go to this practice she is at now.

I found Dr. Shugol to be very rude and dismissive. I came in complaining of headaches, nausea, and vomiting. She barely listened and then said I probably had acid reflux. I am now with another doctor and had a brain MRI so not related at all to her general guess.

I've been a patient of Dr. Shugol's for many years. She has been awesome and has gotten me on the right track. I have a history of being non compliant with my medications and follow appts but she has straightened me out with her persistence. Dawn her nurse is very caring and has been a great help to me. The office is great too.

Very dissatisfied. She was very negative of any of my thoughts on my problems!!! I over heard her telling the nurse " IF SHE CONTINUES TO BE DIFFICULT, WELL WE"LL SEE!!!!" I ended up going to er and was there for 5 days just to calm my symptoms down , before they could do surgery!!! As they did an mri that day i went to ER and discovered I has a very bad case of daviticuloticis !!!! When they did the surgery they also had to remove my appendix as they were also entwined into my colon!!! I also had to have 2 pints of blood as i was anemic!!! I was in hospital for 2 ND, time for 7 days!!!! Week before that , my daughter went to an apt to her. She said she was ok and sent her home!! She ended up in ER the next day, with double pneumonia!!! I believe this doctor should be investigated further into her past and present patients!!!!!

I am changing doctors. I found her manner to be abrupt and imperious. And she gives more attention to the computer records than the patient when taking a history. In addition, her knowledge seemed limited in that she was surprised by common symptoms of perimenopause, asthma, and allergies.

She is not my regular physician at this office however I had he for an appointment.I liked her.I found her thorough and she seemed nice to me.
