Dr. Maria Rivera Amisola, MD

I am not sure what the other review on here was talking about because Dr. Amisola is one of the BEST doctors I have ever met. We saw her for years, she spent plenty of time with us at every appointment. When my son was diagnosed with autism, she was very compassionate. She called me the very next morning to see how I was doing with the news. My son had brain surgery at Dayton Children's and she stayed till 8 pm that night to come up and check on my son. We still visit her when we are at the hospital. The whole office is amazing.

Dr. Amisola spends AMPLE amount of time discussing your concerns or issues that have brought you to see her. She is EXCELLENT at talking to you on a personal level, without making you feel like an uneducated person or failure as a parent. The staff is also exceptional and really works to get you in at your appt time and keep the kids entertained. There is a large play room for the kids to play while you talk with the doc. It is often a bit of a wait to get into see her, but that is the case with most specialists and she is worth the wait!
