She made me feel at ease! Great bedside manner!

When I met Dr. Peck, I thought she was very professional. The only issue is that she is protected by her office staff. They protect her from her patients. They need to realize that no-one goes to visit a doctor's office unless they have to. In my case, it had been 5 to 6 years that I had not had a wellness exam, yet her office personnel told me I had to make an appointment to get that done. I could not understand that, I was already at her office and on her table. The first time I visited her office, she checked me. It took more time to wait, undress, and dress than she spent with me. She checked and said I had an infection. She prescribed me with oral antibiotics and told me I should feel better in a couple of days. Two weeks later, the infection was still there. I made another appointment and now she took a sample of the discharge. It took at least two weeks for the results to come back. I called Dr. Peck's office at least four times to inquire about the results. … First, they told me she had to read them, then they told me she had not gotten them. One day, I checked my phone and there was a message from the pharmacy; there was a prescription for antibiotics for me. The same antibiotics that had not worked. I was upset and called her office; the office staff was defensive. I told them I would not take the antibiotics unless I got an explanation from the doctor. However, I got the antibiotics and began taking them. Three days later, I got a phone call from Dr. Peck's office. It was one of the staff; the message was, "The doctors says you have to take the antibiotic." I knew the antibiotic was not going to work so I called my provider to request another doctor. It turned out I had stage 1 uterus cancer. I am now recovering from the surgery. I have no doubt Dr. Peck is a good doctor; she has spent many years in medical school. The only problem is that as professionals we have to pay attention to the people we serve. A doctor needs to work with her patients and staff-all stakeholders. Office staff should never be seen as the guards of the office. Dr. Peck needs to surround herself with people who work as a team which includes the patient in the team. If changes are not made, then she needs to just serve women who are pregnant and refer all other patients to those doctors in the community who will be more caring to them.

I've been looking for the right OB/GYN for the longest time. I heard about Dr. Peck from a girl at work. I had a wonderful experience. She made me feel very at ease. She answered all my questions. I totally loved her. He nurse Amanda was great as well. She is very nice and made my nervousness go away. She calmed me down by taking with me and explaining how the visit would go. I was awesome. I've had nurses in the past that barely speak at all, I's so rude, I hate that. Amanda makes you feel like she has known you forever. Mrs. Pam at the front desk was very funny. She has a great sense of humor. I had a great experience at this office. I have told everyone I know about Dr. Peck and to pass it on!
