Dr. Marie Elizabeth Mcdonnell, MD

I had to go to Brighams for brain surgery for a tumor. It was a rather long surgery, 14hrs, but I survived and all is well. While there I was off my usual routine for medications regarding my diabetes, and the surgeon called for a diabetes doctor to take a look at me. Low and behold who did I randomly get non other than Dr. McDonnell. While I don't remember too much of what went on in the hospital, I am so glad she came into my life. This was six years ago and my diabetic health has never been better thanks to Dr. McDonnell. We have changed, adjusted, and introduced medications that have made a huge difference not only in my test results but my life in general. My BP is good, my A1C is good, and I even lost weight. I will give my wife some credit because she makes me do what the Dr. says, with a rolling pin in one hand, and it works. Dr. Mcdonnell at Brigham Diabetes Center is an excellent endocrinologist. She takes the time to explain everything to you along with discussing the best treatment options for your diabetes. I will refer all my friends and family to her.

Dr. McDonnell is friendly and smart. I trust her advice. She works within your life and needs to help you get healthy. I have been seeing her for 5 years and have referred many family members and friends for diabetes, thyroid problems and weight problems.
