Dr. Marina Zatman, MD

I regret ever trusting her to help me or paying the high fees for a few minutes of her time. The attitude and judgmental nature would make any hurting person feel even worse.

I trusted her to put my needs first but that did not happen. You must fit into the appointment she gives you with no leeway. Her knowledge is better than most psychiatrists in this area but she can be really tough on you as a person. Just keep in mind that SHE comes first.

The absolute worst person you should go to. I advise people to find other psychiatric help from almost ANYONE else. This woman does not care for her patients, and charges “missed appointment fees” for appointments that you never made. I have never met a more terrible psychiatrist

Extremely critical of you.

She works with people of all income levels unlike other psychiatrists. She also does not shy away from difficult cases or people who have been through very difficult times with other less knowledgeable psychiatrists. Having been dumped by other "professionals" I respect that she doesn't give up or antagonize patients who are suffering.

My experience with Dr. Zatman has been very good. My diagnosis is one which doesn't respond well to meds or therapy but she perseveres in trying to find the best treatment for me possible. Her personality is not all warm and fuzzy but you don't want that in your psychiatrist. At the same time you can tell she really cares and feels for you when you are uncomfortable in what ever condition ails you, of which I suffer from four types. I have been with Dr. Zatman for several years now and would not be wasting my time if I didn't feel she was helping me. Her assistant, Alicea, is also very competent and a very nice, professional person to deal with.

Dr. Zatman's appointments are constantly late, she spends less than 5 minutes with me. Her staff over billed my insurance for months. Her practice is as out of date as her touch with her patients. She does nothing to make you feel comfortable and does little to accommodate her patients.

Knows what she is doing which is more than I can say for other psychistrists in this area--or in general. Knows medications well and does not give up on people who are a challenge due to their illness . Some patients actually get worst with the wrong doctors. I wish I had discovered Dr. Zatman before. She is highly competent.

Dr. Zatman is available to her patients even on the weekends. She helped me through a tough time and was comforting and confident. I couldn't have done it without her.

Dr. Marina Zatman conducts herself in a thoroughly unprofessional manner. My first indication that she was less then appropriate happened after a miscommunication at the pharmacy about the fill date of my medication occured. Dr. Zatman called the pharmacy to straighten things out only to find out that I was confused about the date that it needed to be filled. She then called me back and accused me of being deceptive about what the pharmacy had told me. This really upset me. I took note of the word she chose to accuse me of being, deceptive, and even told the pharmacist of her choice of words who in turn said that I should definitely look for a new doctor as that was very unprofessional. Still I kept the appointment Trent that I had set to be seen again. This time, I entered the address to her office in my gps because I had forgotten the directions to her office. The address that was online that entered was incorrect. Needless to say, I was about 20 minutes late getting to her office.… Feeling horrible about my lateness. I went to her office door in a hurry. The door was closed and I knocked. She came to the door with a scowl on her face and continued to say in a scolding voice " read the sign! It clearly says do not knock if the door is closed!" At this point I was at a loss for words. She had closed the door in my face. My good intentions at making an attempt to make up for being late were not only dismissed but I was reprimanded in front of the patient inside her office and in the waiting room. At this point I went from embarrassed and hurt to angry. About 7 or 8 minutes later the other patient came out, I quickly apologized for unknowingly interrupting her session. ( which obviously had gone 29 minutes into my scheduled appointment time) the lady said it was fine and dr. Zatman said to come in. She immediately began with the questioning of " didn't you read the sign?" I tried to explain only to get stiff, abrupt comments.we argued about the semantics of the situation and even the incident at the oharmacy. At this point I told her I think it would be best for me to stop seeing her. She simply fold her papers and said" yes. I don't like to work with people I don't like and whom doesn't like me. Goodbye. " I went home on tears. I've never in my life been spoken to in such an please accusatory way and by someone who I was supposed to be getting treatment from! Dr. Zatman is, in my oppinion, unfit to treat patients at any level of therapy.
