Dr. Maristela Batezini Batezini, MEDICAL, DOCTOR, MD

I went through 7 months of treatment and 3 years, and counting, of follow up and couldn't be happier with the treatment I received from Dr. Batazini. She is thorough and professional and well as very personable and caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Batazini as an oncologist.

Did not do a bone density test or cholesterol testing before prescribing arimidex which possibly results in osteoporosis and higher cholesterol levels. Ended up on fosomax (heartburn, muscle aches and pains). Did not know of an oncologist she could refer me to closer to my "snowbird" residence and just wanted me to change my appointment dates.

Very odd woman. Talked down to me when I asked questions (about chemotherapy treatments, come on I should want to know what is going into my body and how to stay as healthy as I can through cancer treatments)! One time she started laughing at me and said, "well, that's what happens when patients diagnose themselves from webmd." I had not "diagnosed" myself from webmd, anyway, I was asking her about a drug she said I should be on that turns out she knew nothing about even though she's the one who gave me literature about it. One time I went in to her office with my boyfriend and it was the only time she wasn't condescending. Instead she started giggling and laughing like a 14 year old to the extent that my boyfriend asked if she was always that "creepy and flighty" with me. iit was bizarre since she's so rude and condescending with me, like 2 different personalities. When I finally asked if there was someone else at that office I could see she started explaining things to me without… being rude. So maybe she doesn't realize she's doing iit at the time?
