Dr. Marivic Delos Reye Villa, MD

Dr Villa is so refreshing! She actually listened to my symptoms and ask questions. I did not feel like a number being checked off my Medicare survey when I saw her. In the past, I’ve had doctors just wanting to throw me prescriptions with tons of side effects and no solutions for the problem. Dr Villa is the opposite. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking a true professional that cares.

Hi Lisa, Over the course of three years that I went to Dr. Villa for a persistent cough. She diagnosed me with three autoimmune diseases (two of them deadly) and sleep apnea so bad that she told me I would “die” if I did not get a CPAP machine immediately. The Sleep Store in Leesburg told me they saw my sleep study report and that I did not have sleep apnea. Had I started that machine. I would have had to use it every night or be in financial trouble with Medicare for not using it. Plus, I would of had the financial responsibility of buying supplies for it. Dr. Villa also stopped me from getting much-needed knee replacement surgery, telling me I would “die” during surgery because of the autoimmune diseases she diagnosed me as having. Then the final straw was Dr. Villa telling me that I had a serious heart issue but not to worry as she had “a cardiologist friend” that she could refer me to. She “saw” this “heart condition” from a lung scan, which is impossible to do! At that… point I told her that if she was saying I had a serious heart issue, I was going to Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville for a second opinion. She immediately got very indignant and told me if I was “going to Mayo” that I had to “leave her office immediately”. She proceeded to kick me out of her office!! I went to Mayo Clinic, first to see a top cardiologist. He told me (after lan tests) that I have nothing wrong, just “normal aging issues” and to take a baby aspirin once a day. Then I went to see a top Mayo rheumatologist who (after lab tests) told me that I have “NO autoimmune diseases”. None! Notta. Zero!!! Then I had a new Sleep Study done by a Mayo pulmonologist and after the test, he reported to me that I did NOT have sleep apnea and did not require a CPAP machine. I did not have anything that Dr. Villa diagnosed me with! I was cleared by all Mayo doctors to have my knee replaced, which successfully happened at Mayo in March 2024. I can now walk again and I did not die in surgery as Dr. Villa purported. I still had the persistent cough that I first reported to Dr. Villa and my reason for seeing her in the first place. So after my knee replacement surgery, I made an appointment with a gastroenterologist at Mayo. He suggested that my blood pressure medicine be changed first before a more invasive acid reflux test. He contacted my Mayo cardiologist and together they recommended a new BP medicine. As soon as I stopped taking the BP medicine (which I took the entire five years of my chronic cough), the coughing stopped! What a relief. And just yesterday I received a clean bill of health (100% healthy) for my age from my new doctor. He said the blood work (two vials of blood vs. the twenty Villa had me do) shows I’m healthy with good cholesterol and nothing negative. And my cough stopped. And I’m walking with my new knee.

Dr Villa, to me, is the best Doctor in area.

Dr. Villa apart from having a very good heart, I think and feel that she is an excelent Doctor. She knows what she is doing . Shes very knowledgeable and well experianced. I will recommend her to anyone any time. The staff are very pleasant and friendly.

She is lovable and caring.

Excellent she is very attentive and goes over all paperwork I have when I come and she helps with my blood work and heart issues and any problems I may have when I come in. Her advice is always excellent!
