Dr. Marjorie A Chorness, MD

Dr. Chorness is an excellent gynecologist. All of my visits have been wonderful; she was caring, patient, and will be honest about any questions that you ask. She made my feel welcome. Dr. Chorness is straight forward, and that's what I like in a doctor.

This position double charges and over charges for procedures that should have been covered. I do not have a deductible and paid over $1000 out of pocket. I was quoted $150 for DNA testing and got a bill for $450. Then her staff became very rude with me. She was unable to find something in a procedure made me come back and charge me a second time for the same procedure she had already charged me for. I will never do business here again

Have been a patient of Dr. Chorness for years. She is very caring & very intelligent. She has an excellent bedside manner & always makes me feel comfortable, which is very much appreciated to female patients of ANY doctor. I will continue to be a patient for as long as she is in practice. Thank you Dr. Chorness!!

Front desk was rude, doctor was slow and was loudly speaking riding to the nurse. Yes I heard everything from the room.

Dr. Chorness was very condescending to me. She had told me, a couple of months ago during a consultation to discuss my options, that I needed surgery and would need to arrange 6-8 weeks recovery time. I made the arrangements and made an appointment for a consultation. She acted as if having the surgery had been my own idea, explaining in a patronizing tone that it wasn't that simple, before finally saying surgery would probably be the only applicable course of action. She then told me to schedule an appointment for the same diagnostic procedures she had done just a couple months before when she told me I needed the surgery. Throughout most of the consultation, Dr. Chorness spoke to me in a tone that is normally reserved for communicating with the mentally challenged and very small children.

This physician is rude and likes to batter her staff. I was being seen a couple of months ago and over heard the physician yelling at her nurse. She told me my baby had no heart beat and wanted me to remove it. The nurse talked her into repeating the ultrasound, and yes I am pregnant with a healthy baby with a heartbeat. I was pushed off on another doctor says she has decided not to any longer going to deliver babies. It was a frustrating situation and I will not be returning to her in the future.

After waiting a long time to meet the doctor, I was interviewed my the and she was great, but the other staff seemed to have an attitude. The walls are thin and I over heard the doctor yelling at her nurse for spending to much time with me. This upsets me that the nurse that was empathic towards me was being trash talked at. I hope the best for that nurse, and I will be finding a different Doctor.

Dr. Choreness takes great pride in her patients and the work that she does. She is worth the wait because she does spend time to truly listen to you in order to care for you properly.

As a young adult with several menstral issues living out of town- I had to make several time consuming visits because I didn't want to switch my care provider ~~~ LITTLE DID I KNOW that after the first couple of visits the staff would drop all care, charge more for unknown services, and Dr. Chorness herself was very neglecting. Maybe she specilizes in petree dishes and infertility replacements but if you're a regular person who doesn't need to spend $$$ for hormone meds & just wants a friendly checkup - don't go. You're not worth your time to her. She treats you subordinately & neglects you. I have never felt so disrespected and untrustworthy of a doctor before in my life. Definitely not the type of doc that should have become a Ob/Gyn.

Office staff is rude and uncaring! They clearly have no concept clientele and basic human respect. The rating of this office is dismally low on this site as well as all other medical rating sites I have checked, and for good reason. Find a different doctor; If the staff is rude, clearly the doctor sets the tempo.

The worst doctor I have ever had the displeasure of having treat me!!! Bedside manner is deplorable. Check delivery privliages at hospitals, some will not allow her to deliver there.

The first visit was okay, but very awkward due to her inappropriate assistant and her cold approach. After continued visits, health issues developed and she immediately shot down all of my concerns. After she finally agreed to look into my pain and other concerns, the visits became worse. She brought in 3 or 4 medical students to watch my examine and procedure. I was never asked if they could observe or really even given the option for them not to be there. She then allowed one to insert the speculum, which she did incorrectly and caused me a lot of discomfort. She had to jump in to place it correctly. I felt like a science experiment for the students, it was humiliating. After many visits after to try to find out what was going on with me, she finally blew up. I asked if I could speak to her in private and she literally yelled at me that her nurse must always be present and that she was not leaving. After that, I finally found another doctor who treated me much better and found three medical issues that required surgery. After years of rudeness and no help, I was glad to be rid of her and continue with a doctor who knows how to treat a patient properly.

All 3 appointments ran behind wasted 3 hours each time for approximately 15 minutes of Dr.s time. Dr very demanding of me having a surgery that was not necessary. Very rude once I made decision not to have this surgery , upon second opinion from a second Dr proved that I was right to follow my gut instincts and not her decision.

Make sure you have a written birth plan, and make sure she does what you've asked for.

the wait time was too long. I got there at 8:20 for 9:00 appointment to fill out paper work. I left there at 11:45 not good

I enjoy Doctor Chorness. She is professional and a smart lady. Her office staff is a bit rude and they do mess up billing every year, but do fix it as well. I always have to wait for my appointment which is the worst part. I wish there was a way to reduce the wait time, but being the only doctor in the practice, it does make sense. I like the doctor, but the overall experience is frustrating at times.

Do not go to this practice. Extremely long waiting times. Nursing staff of "one" lady is very stupid and unprofessional. ( SHE IS NOT A NURSE - no credentials of any kind) They have a cat that resides at their office and runs free between patient hours. The doctor talks down to her patient's, and NEVER EVER runs on time. Phone calls are not returned - can't seem to get lab results. Billing problems with Lab Corp. Dr. does not correctly diagnosis simple blood work via the lab specimens.
