Dr. Mark Bele, DO

Rushed, impersonal and a waste of time! He certainly was in a hurry to be done. Not a listener.

After waiting months to be seen by Dr. Bele the 1st appointment I felt that he was ok, but each appointment after I kept saying that I feel that the medication he had me on was not working as I was still experiencing pain and swelling and he refused to change the medication. Fast forward, I am now experiencing tightening with numbness in my hand which it's very difficult to hold a pen. I was informed by my primary doctor that I should not be taking the medication prescribed if I am not taking the folice acid medication and still Dr. Bele refused to change the medication very rudely saying if I don't like the way he is treating me to find another doctor and that's what I'm doing and I would not recommend Dr. Bele to anyone as he doesn't have any manners in treating patients.

On patients information sheet I checked off that I have trouble breathing. My breathing got worse after I started taking the medication he prescribed. I googled the medicine he prescribed and it said people who have trouble breathing should not take this medicine. Needless to say I will no longer take the medication and no longer see Dr Bele.

I have been treated by Dr. Bele for psoriatic arthritis for over a year and I am very satisfied. Prior to seeing him I was contemplating seeing a Dr. at the HSS in Manhattan and I am very happy that I made an appointment with Dr. Bele. He has helped me with chronic inflammation and I have improved greatly. I like that he listens to my concerns and that we agree on a treatment plan together. I never feel rushed during my appointments and he is great on following up with me on test results and questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Bele.

Is excellent Doctor , the best one I had ,fights and attacks RA ,unfortunately due to insurance ,I can know longer go to Dr.Bele.On my second Doctor since him ,unfortunately they each took me off of one thing ,I was on.Now,,in pain.

Dr. Bele, has to be hands down, one of the most personable physicians that I have ever had the pleasure to frequent. We see Dr. Bele for my husbands condition, and he has always been very warm, caring, informative, doesn't rush you out of his office, and overall gives a feeling of ease by the time you leave. At, least he does for me and my husband. He is an excellent doctor.

Takes his time ,didn't feel rushed,received answers ,for any questions.put me on the right path with medication,felt great!would tell a friend that ,he is a very good Doctor.Yes, absolutely would want him in my corner!

I had called on sunday looking for a doctor on call because I have rheumatoid arthritis and was dealing with a horrible flare up. I have a medication that I take for these flare ups that I know works for me and I was looking for a doctor to write a prescription for this exact medication. I was suck with Dr. Bele, he called me and had a very brief discussion with me, he quickly rushed me off and ending the conversation and said that he would look into a pharmacy and call me back. He NEVER called me back and sent the prescription to my regular pharmacy that was not open until Tuesday morning. if I could've waited around till Tuesday morning then I would not have bothered with trying to find a doctor to help me on Sunday. NOT ONLY did I have to wait 2 days for this prescription, but when I went to get it, it was NOT what I asked for, it was something different that I have never taken before and was 5x more expensive that my normal medication. so NOW I'm currently waiting AGAIN for a… phone call back from a doctor so that I can get the correct medication, almost a week later. I've never been so upset and disappointed with a doctor before and because Dr. Bele is apparently the only rheumatologist I'll be looking into new doctors.
