VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND CARING

We took our daughter to him he would only talk to her and not listen to us. She has crohns. At the time he thought it was IBS and said eat more fiber. We took here to children's hospital in the cities and the scoped her from both ends. So glad we took her elsewhere.

He helped save my life when I was young!

After seeing two doctors before Dr. Blaufuss and getting no help for my daughter who was having trouble swallowing, he scheduled us into his busy schedule and still treated us like she was his only patient. He spent at least 45 minutes talking with us, drawing diagrams on his chalkboard, and asking us questions. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable. I am confident in his diagnosis and he even bought cookies and milk for us to celebrate that my daughter was okay. He is the best doctor we have ever been to.

An earlier reviewer called him arrogant. They must have rocks in their head to say that. Intelligent - yes. Professional - yes. Thorough - yes. If you feel threatened by his knowledge, or bothered by his years of experience, and think you know better, go find some quack that you can feel superior to. Anyone in North Dakota with a child who has Crohn's disease or similar conditions, would be wise to take their child to Dr. Blaufuss. We drive 200 miles to have him see our child. And yes there are closer alternatives. And I've never found him to be condescending. God Bless you, Dr. Blaufuss.

I can not say enough good about this Doctor. He was our pediatrician for years and I could not have been happier. I am thinking of him today as he is the reason our son is still with us today. Having a premature infant he was very thorough and always on top of his medical care. All 5 of my children adored him. We were very blessed and wish we could have just brought him to Indiana with us! We miss you Dr.Blaufuss!!

he connected well with my sometimes difficult 16 year old. he was sincere and credible to him.

Each time we have seen Dr. Blaufuss he has made us feel as if we are his only patient. He takes all the time we need to understand what is going on. He has called several times to follow-up and is always available when I have called.

Dr. Blaufus is a great doctor.

I did have a high rating of this doctor with my first visit to him. We had a follow up visit with him and as soon as my mother and I started asking questions, he immediately got defensive and condescending. We never once said that we wanted a second opinion, but he felt the need to inform us twice that he could refer us to another doctor if we didn't like his diagnosis. We just wanted to rule out a few things and asked if there were tests that could possibly do that. At the end of our visit he listed off about 20 cities/states that he could refer us to another doctor - he went on and on! I feel that I am the only voice that my 10 month old son has right now and it is my right to ask questions. When we go to see a physician, shouldn't we be allowed to ask questions? Aren't we as patients paying for this visit?
