Dr. Mark Burt, MD

I was apprehensive before my knee replacement, very much so. Dr. Burt talked to me, answered all my questions, no matter how strange I may have thought they could have been, made me fee as an elderly patient that he was able to take care of any problem that might be on my mind. You really can't beat that calmness that I was able to overcome because I am the nervous type usually. All went very well, recuperation has been very good and I know I can contact him if I have any other questions post-op. I can trust him and his staff. (Eve Erastus)

Dr. Mark Burt was my orthopedic surgeon. He is and was my idea of a professional and kind doctor. I can depend on his judgement and advice about each of my concerns. He appears to always be able to calm my nerves about matters of my health and surgical outcomes and what I should look forward to. Fantastic doctor, I trust him completely.

I left my appointment in tears. I felt as though I was a nuisance to Dr Burt. He is a knee specailist but I was told by both the scheduler and his assistant that he can treat me for my back. I had been in extem pain for five days. When I told how I felt about his behaviar along with saying that was not his intention he said "well I'm not a spine specialist. " As I walked away he asked if I wanted to discontinue his care and cancel my up coming knee surgery. I had not intended to do so but since he brought it up I said yes. Clearly he was done with me. My family and I have been patients of Emerge othro for over 7 years since we moved to the area, but we are done.

Dr. Burt and his team went above and beyond to help me. Dr. Burt even called me directly to go over the positive MRI results after business hours. This allowed me to give the green light to go back to work on Monday. His entire team is absolutely wonderful!

I had to give 1 ?? to get here. Extremely disappointed! Insurance had to be verified-they knew my deductible but did not inform me they were not in network until the day after appointment. I explained my issue when making appointment, to the nurse, and x-ray tech. I never said broke! I told all that I had pulled tendons or ligaments, or something, but nothing is broke. The Surgeon got upset when he gave me the good news “nothing is broken” and I replied “I knew that”. My issue started with fingers, to thumb, to wrist, to elbow, and now shoulder is in the mix. I still can’t understand how more body parts are being affected, yet, the Surgeon said it seems like it is getting better. Better than what and what is he comparing it to. I’ve never been seen there. BEWARE

I have had a great experience with Dr. Burt and his staff. I would reccomend him to anyone needing Ortho attention. He is a great doctor.
