Dr. Mark Barbour Constantian, MD

This Dr. disfigured my nose. He has no idea what normal dorsal lines should lok like or if he does he is woefully unable to execute it. His ribgrafting is so bulky. My nose dwarfs my other features. No matter how nice your features might of been before I assure you he will ruin your face and make you permanently ugly. He has no sympathy whatsoever afterwards. He acted so defensive with me I knew trying to reason with him was a lost cause. Don't go to him because it will be the biggest regret of your life!

This doctor is currently publishing a book where he is basically accusing unsatisfied patients of having BDD even though he is not a PSYCHIATRIST OR PSYCHOLOGIST and has absolutely no authority to make that kind of diagnosis. This is his defense for doing horrendous work and having patients justifiably call him out for ruining their faces. The pathetic scenarios he calls out have him looking like a saint and the patients looking like harpies. He is a full blown mentally ill misogynist that GLADLY takes the money of the people he is condescendingly portraying and then accuses them of BDD when he screws them up. How convenient.

I am permanently disfigured from this Dr.. My nose looks damaged and is scarred now. The rib grafting he put in shows through my skin and my nose looks mangled from it all. He turned his back on me after the surgery, admitting the results were not cosmetically acceptable but refused to help revise it. In fact he told me to have restylane injections as a solution. How can he live with himself and sleep at night after destroying my life and probably many other lives. You cant hide your nose. Its on my thoughts 24 hours a day every day. Even writing this review leaves me feeling so miserable and hopeless I barely have the energy to finish it except for the hope that if only one person reading this will change her/his mind about going to him I can rest a little easier knowing something positive came out of my speaking up

This doctor's technique is outdated. If you are a patient who has had multiple surgeries, you are VERY likely to look worse after going to Dr. Constantian. Please dont forget that Michael Jackson had all his botched surgeries closed. He made a bad surgery worse in my case, flattening and reducing an nose that was already small. I have no tip and my nose does not look my ethnicity. He did the worst thing possible as he shortened my already compromised nose. My nose is very bottom heavy and pinched like a bad 1970's nose job but the nostrils flare out. He has abslutely no sense of aesthetics and just remember that no matter how you turn out, he will say it is an improvement. He will not accomplish what you ask and when you ask questions he will ignore you and never admit to doing a terrible job. Please go to a doctor that has some kind of aesthetic sense, his noses look COMPLETELY unnatural and outdated.

If you are considering rhinoplasty and are searching for the best doctor, I highly recommend Dr. Constantian. He was referred to me by a plastic surgeon 10 years ago that said for my difficult case, Dr. Constantian would be the best plastic surgeon in the U.S.. This was after I visited three plastic surgeons that would not take my case. I was born without nasal cartilage, and through the years, I had six surgeries to correct the problem. Each time, the plastic or bone slipped and my nose was wide and crooked. During my first visit, Dr. Constantian explained that he would use my rib bone, as he needed more to work with than my ear cartilage would provide. It would be an improvement, but I would most likely need a second surgery to increase the tip and narrow my nostrils. He said there was a possibility that the rib could curl or slip after a while. That was ten years ago and over time, my nose again looked crooked with a bump. I returned to Dr. Constantian to ask what he could… do to fix my nose. He explained that he would decide at the time of surgery if he needed more rib or could use ear cartilage. I totally trusted his skill and judgement. Dr. Constantian reshaped the original rib bone and inserted cartilage from my ear. Now my nose is straight with narrow nostrils, a nice tip, and looks symmetrical, and I can breath well through my nose. It now looks normal! I am thrilled to recommend Dr. Constantian and his staff. They treated me with professionalism and respect; like a friend. I also appreciate that he does his operations in a hospital. Dr. Constantian is a well-respected, skilled, dedicated, seriously brilliant plastic surgeon.

still glad I went to this Doctor. I thought he was a total pro and very easy to talk with , understanding. I healed up great and my nose was a much better version of it's previous self, and better breathing as well.

Dr. Constantian is by far one of the best doctors I have ever met. He truly cares about his patients, Is an expert in his field. And is also a wonderful human being work works closely with his patients. It doesn't get better than Dr. Constantian!!!

Dr. C did my blepharoplasty, brow lift and revision rhinoplasty. The quality of my life, my self-esteem, my breathing... Everything has been an improvement that only pictures can demonstrate, and even this evidence is difficult to believe. Frankly, I have never seen a better "before and after" than my own. I am proof of this surgeon's incredible skill. It is 9 years post brow lift and blepharoplasty, and 7 years post rhinoplasty. I am so grateful every day for choosing him. It is possible to go from ugly to pretty, and Dr. C's work and my results are the best evidence.

Dr. Mark Constantian did revision surgery on my nose and it was a very positive experience. My nose had an extremely depressed tip and he was able to build it up with cartilage from my ear. He also helped my breathing by adding cartilage grafts to open up my nostrils and the middle third of my nose. I'm convinced he is one of only a very few plastic surgeons in the country that could have performed this surgery successfully. Dr. Constantian and his staff were very professional and kind. The reason I am leaving a review is b/c I had been very happy with my original revision that Dr C performed, there were some issues I wasn't happy with but all in all very happy. I did go back for him to do a touch up where I had an indent near the tip. He cut my nostril (his idea) to make it even with my other one (with the scar). He cut it asymmetrical and it doesn't look natural at all and makes my look like I have short bulbous nose with big nostrils., He added all these grafts on the side with the scar and that swells up when its hot and I can feel them. I look awful in pictures b/c these things are obvious in pictures but most of all it set me back mentally. I had told him not to take any steps backwards b/c ultimately I was happy , but he did. There is no sense of esthetics or what makes sense naturally, at least this has been my experience will all the doctors I've seen. Bedside manner is always good until you disagree with them. I now have to live with this. I try not to look… in the mirror b/c it upsets me and I don't like to look at myself. Ultimately it's my fault for asking him to touch it up. I thought he was more conservative b/c my first experience was very good. Its extremely important to be communicative, don't assume a Dr will do what you think is right, they wouldn't know since they are not you.
