Dr. Crabtree sent me for numerous horrible painful and expensive test saying he had to have the test results because I needed surgery. He told me this each time he scheduled tests. He billed my insurance $50,000 and then told me he couldn't do surgery and referred me back to my regular doctor who sent me to Dr. Crabtree in the first place. Then the office refused to send my records to my regular doctor. My regular doctor confirmed Dr. Crabtree did write me up for surgery and regular doctor did not know why he didn't do the surgery after all the expensive tests done. One test (discogram) was $20,000. My regular doctor no longer refers patients to Dr. Crabtree since this has happened to other people. I saw a Neurosurgeon and he said I didn't need all those tests to see I did need surgery. I was used for my insurance only. I am contacting my insurance company to see if they can do anything about all the claims Dr. Crabtree submitted. No wonder insurance is so high...with doctors performing unnecessary very expensive tests for the money and not for patients!!!! only see this doctor if you have excellent insurance you will need it!!!

Dr. Crabtree might possibly be the worst dr I've ever experienced. I injured my back and couldn't walk at all and called his office. The nurse took 5 days to return my call and said the dr wanted me to have cortisone shots. I explained to her that I fell down and couldn't walk and she then said she'd get back to me. 7 days later she called back to say that the dr said I needed cortisone shots. NO x-ray, NO MRI !!!! So I went for a shot and it did no good. So I called back and it took them 8 days this time to call me back. I explained that I still couldn't stand up and even cook I was in so much pain. She said Crabtree wants you to have another shot. He wouldn't even see me. So I went through the second shot like an idiot. It didn't help either. So I called and told them Dr. Crabtree better see me this time. So she scheduled the appt and when I got there he wasn't even in the office, it was his assistant. This dr didn't care one bit about what my injury was, whether I needed an x-ray, mri, nothing, he wouldn't even take the time to see me. I am now being seen by a wonderful dr. in Joplin, Mo. I wasted 4 months on crabtree when I could have been getting the right care all along. I really can't even give him one star but there's no option for 0 stars.
