Dr Plunkett replaced my sons pacemaker. He was very thorough & explained everything to us in great detail. He answered all our questions. The day of the procedure he and his nurse Becky, review everything once again.

This surgeon is horrible. He attempted to fix valve which was leaking and enlarged my heart but only made it worse. I can't believe the great reviews he is getting, it is so upsetting to know that more than two innocent babies passed away under his practice. University of Kentucky was closed down for a reason, maybe people should investigate more than just mortality rates and overall success rates. I know the kids who were in the Intensive Care Unit with me, because our parents bonded as we were going through the same situation, were sent elsewhere to receive the surgery they needed because he failed to fix anything. I feel this needs to be investigated more, and not just look into mortality rates, but to find other kids, like myself, who struggle because of his practice. Do not go to him for anything, I can't stress how important it is that this is not the surgeon you need to see. I would give him no stars, but that is not an option.

Thanks to Dr. Plunkett we have had 9+ more years with our daughter and she is still going strong. We can't thank him enough for being so good with her the first time he met her because it put her and us at ease just before her transplant. He has been such a great personal support for our daughter over these past 9 years, he is like her second dad. Although he is no longer her doctor anymore because she is an adult we always go to him for advice and direction when it comes to her care. We trust Dr. Plunkett with our daughters life. We will never be able to thank him enough for being an amazing doctor for saving our daughters life, but even more for being an amazing man!!!

Dr. Plunkett finally talked me into doing my pulmonary valve replacement in 2010 to "fix" my congenital heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot. It was the best thing that ever happened to me health wise! He always spent tons of time with me since he knew how apprehensive I was about the whole thing. I will never ever forget him and wish he did not leave UK :(

if you wait more the 1 hour an his office ,he doesn t matter you can wait ,this DR MARK PLUNKETT ,he is the best ,i from france when my cardiologiste in PARIS (FRANCE ) saw what it done for me .he told me it AMAZING !!!THE WAY HE FIX MY HEART!!!IF SAVE MY LIFE BUT THE BEST FROM HIM !!HE IS SIMPLE MAN ,AND BY EXPERIENCE MORE THEY ARE SIMPLE MORE YOU CAN TRUST!!!
