Dr. Mark David Garcia, DO

I am completely disappointed with this doctor. I will not go back to him and advise others to stay away.

I would give zero stars but it won't let me. I am out of town and had a flare up with my skin. It hasn't happened in a while so I haven't been to this office for almost a year. But I've been a patient for 4 years! I asked if they could call in a prescriptin for me and I would come in when I get back next week. The girl who answered the phone was great. The doctor refused to call in my prescription because I haven't been in recently. So now, I have scaly, red patches everywhere in this 100 degree Florida heat. Seriously? I'm your patient and I'm not asking for narcotics... it's a liquid steroid. It's not like I'm going to abuse it. I am furious with their lack of concern for their patient of which they have a medical history for. Not only will I get a new doctor, I will tell anyone and everyone who will listen how horrible they are. Way to take care of your patients in their most needed time.

Avoid this DO PA and his staff at all costs. Dr. Garcia routinely displays unprovoked hostility and anger towards patients as other review sites will also indicate. I recently arrived at his office for an appointment. Without any prior discussion with me, I was confronted by his staff (his wife, I believe) about a 4 year old unpaid insurance claim. When questioned about the details of non-payment, the conversation quickly elevated to a confrontation. The staff could not or would not provide a valid reason or facts related the unpaid charge. A list of unfounded reasons was offered instead...ranging from totally false comments about an inactive primary insurance policy, Medicare not being active, and lastly that a deductible had not been satisfied. These three reasons offered are unequivocally untrue. I have had no interruption in primary or secondary coverage, and I have no deductibles applicable to office visits. Worthy of note, this discussion of my personal and private information… was held in the waiting room and in the presence of non-staff individuals. I believe that the others in the wait room were patients or vendors. Dr. Garcia exhibited unprofessional and hostile behavior during my attempt to garner facts about the account. Clearly his temper was in charge of his behavior. Upon returning home, Dr. Garcia called me to apologize for his unprovoked actions and behavior. While I accepted the apology, my account dispute remains unresolved, and I had to seek medical care from others. Something is seriously amiss with this Dr. and his staff. Under no circumstances will I ever return. Moreover, I strongly advise that you find another Dr. for your dermatological needs in New Braunfels.

When looking for a good dermatologist accepting new patients in New Braunfels, I received a number of recommendations for Dr. Garcia. I was treated for a couple of things during my visit and learned a lot about my skin. I was very pleased leaving the office and thankful for those who advised this clinic.

It was our first time there and we were both nervous. My husband had precancerous spots in several areas. He took care of them right then and there. He took his time and explained everything. Thank you for taking such good care of both of us. We highly recommend Dr. Garcia for any of your skin care needs.

My experience with Dr. Garcia and his staff was great! From making an appointment to seeing the Doctor, i had a very great visit. Dr. Garcia has treated my whole family and we were all very satisfied. My husband's acne has greatly improved with the help of Dr. Garcia. Also my concerns with my infant were addressed and I was reassured. I highly recommend Dr. Garcia to all my family and friends.

I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Garcia for a variety of issues I had with my skin. Each condition was diagnosed and treated successfully. I was so please with my appointment from start to finish.

I walked out of my appointment fully knowing and understanding what was going on with my skin and how I should be treating it.

My first visit I was diagnosed w/a type of Rosacea and given a prescription. This med didn't work so well, so he phoned in another - without me having to go in. This medication worked well for almost a year. I stopped on the spur of the moment on my way out of town and asked for a sample, which he gave immediately. I like the fact I didn't have to see and pay for a visit for this request. I would recommend Dr. Garcia to anyone. I've had nothing but 'good feelings' when leaving his office.
