Some eighteen years after my initial neck fracture, the pain had become unbearable. In the last several years I also began to lose movement, dexterity, and the ability to perform daily tasks. I saw many specialists who basically said the pain and lose of movement was a long term result of the fracture eighteen years ago and that there was nothing that could be done for me and offered little hope to me in finding ways of relieving my constant pain. I felt I was doomed to suffer. That is, until I became a patient of Dr. Fletcher's. My initial appointment lasted almost two hours. He took an in depth history of my problems and listened with empathy as I described my psin and limited movement. He understood what I meant by saying I have good days when I function close to normal and bad days when the pain simply is horrific. He immediately said, "I think we can make this better." Medication was added, and more tests were done to determine exactly which nerves and vertebrae are… affected. It was a relief to find a doctor as competent and caring as Dr. Fletcher. Over the last six months, thanks to Dr. Fletcher's plan of care, I feel better (on good days) than I have in two years. I also have hope. Each appointment is spent discussing what progress I have made and what can be done to continue that progress. Dr. Fletcher has been a true blessing for me and my family. If you are looking for a doctor who knows medicine and current treatment processes, yet truly cares and most importantly knows how to treat people, you should make an appointment with Dr. Fletcher. I say Dr. Fletcher is the BEST!
