Dr.Lamet Wanted to say thank you for such a great job....

Dr Lemet does his job right ,however being in that clinic for my colonoscopy was a nightmare. I am used to California where I always received excellent treatment, so being in a kind of assembly line of patients was kind of shocking to me, to begin with. Than they gave me a plastic bag to put my clothes in,,,,like they do in jails....so far so good :) The nurses were nice before the procedure. But it was strange to me to be covered by a paper sheet....well, taking things easy... I was finally taken to my procedure, and my gown was lifted in the back before the anestesia took effect. DEGRADING , showing my behind to nursed that were there....while i was awake. After they left me, lying on a soaked wet sheet , freezing to death. I asked the nurse to change it because I was freezing, she ignored me. As soon I was okay I got up to get dressed on my own, before getting a pneumonia. I got home with a very bad cold. Hope to get well soon. I saw the doctor for less than a… minute, just telling me in a hurry that everyghing was fine. Well,,,,, I am in shock , I had to say so ,and I am not exagerating. Patients are not things, they are people, they need a little more care...at least change the bed to give them the comfort of a dry sheet. It is not human.I am 71 years old, I ve had 2 previous colonscopies, and never thought I would go throught this . when the doctor called following up I couldnt get to the phone I would have told him all this .

Although my initial appointment wait time was long, the staff and doctor were very professional and courteous. Dr. Lamet even called me himself the night after my procedure to make sure everything was okay.

I was diagnosed by Dr. Lamet in 2008 with stage 3 colon cancer. I had surgery and chemo. Dr. Lamet is a life saver.

Dr. Lamet was excellent! He was on time and actually nice. The staff was also excellent, all courteous and the office was nice and clean. He provided professional care and took the time to explain my symptoms and diagnoses. I am very pleased and would recommend Dr. Mark Lamet to all my friends and family in the future.

1 - Ease of appt - Low. Staff was extremely rude. I realize everyone's busy but let me get my question out first! My dad had an appt and I called the staff beforehand to ask whether I need to bring his colonoscopy report from three years ago for his endoscopy or if they plan to do it (they said they would). They did not give me a straight answer. I then asked to speak to the doctor because my dad had to see a neurologist, endocrinologist, and heart doctor. He is a diabetic and none of these physicians seem to be communicating with one another.2 - They gave seven patients 8.30am appt and 5 patients 8.45am appt and 8 patients 9.15am and so on. One lady in the waiting area counted 26 patients before 11am. ONE DOCTOR.3 - Before they took my dad back, the staff was sullen. The person in scrubs (don't know name, don't know if she is a nurse) was rude and kept answering her cell phone while giving my dad instructions.4 - It's assembly line procedures. We did not get out of there until… 11.30am.5 - The doctor did not introduce himself. The nurse allowed him to see another patient behind us in line. My dad got up to walk around for a second because he felt weird after the procedure and when the doctor saw him, he started to talk outside/in the hallway before going back into the room. This should be a private conversation.6 - He was impatient and would not allow any questions. One question I snuck in and he scoffed saying it was an overdiagnosis--I did NOT get this from WebMD; rather, another one of my dad's physicians suggested a diagnosis possibility.7 - I realize the man does not have time to sit down and have lunch with us. I flew in from another state on very short notice to talk with the doctor. Absolutely ridiculous that I had no time to ask a question. I understand that he is interested in playing God and maybe people treat him as such, but I was a worried daughter and needed some basic answers and maybe a little compassion. Just say, look, we don't know anything yet (I won't sue, promise!)--I just need to know a little bit of what you know, as a physician. I just need to have a modicum of compassion from the man.
