Dr. Mark Miles Passey, MD

I too visited doctor Passey. I have severe back pain and he also told me for 45 minutes that it was in my head. He basically told me that I needed to learn to deal with the pain. He gave me no options and refused to help me. I highly recommend NOT going to him!

I did not choose Dr. Passey, he was the only Doctor my Workers Comp would pay for. He was the only option I had for pain management after having my back fused. He told me that the pain I was feeling in my back and legs wasn't real, it was just damaged nerves, that it was all in my head. He said if my prescription didn't work not to worry about it because the pain wasn't actually hurting me, it was just my damaged nerves sending that message to my brain. I told him that the pain felt awfully real to me. He replied that I should just learn to live with pain, after all, lots of people lived in pain before medications were available. He also mentioned that if I tried to change Doctors he could make that a very difficult thing to do. I was absolutely horrified. I left his office feeling trapped and hopeless. I am a grown man, tough as any one I know, I sat in in his parking lot for 30 minutes in tears, Not knowing how I was possibly going to earn a living being crippled by… screaming pain. I actually didn't have to much trouble changing doctors because my claim handler at the Insurance Co. is an amazing person.

dr passey is very honest and he cares for his patients,and you wont find a better docter he is the docter.

Mark Passey was treating my pain from the surgery that didn't have a good outcome and NEVER ordered as much as an X ray when my condition got worse. I saw Passey for 6 years and as long as the appointments were "routine" he was happy. This doctor wants to get paid to have patients come in for prescriptions only. There is nothing more he did in all these years and when I wanted to see a another doctor he did all he could to prevent me from changing. I am finally free and can find out why I am hurting and losing control of certain functions. If all you need is a doc to write prescriptions for you then this doc is OK but don't expect anything else because he will try to trap you and not try to diagnose anything. Good Luck

Works close with IHC, specialist co-pay. Excellent nurse when at spine center, once moved to new office, nursing staff not very friendly, gets the job done but not pleasant. I no longer see the Smile, kindness, genuine concern for me from the nurse staff, only directness to the point, done. That is missed. Office staff somewhat helpful on monthly script issues, could be more helpful. Dr. Passey stays current in his field. I feel he is an expert, not a drug pusher. Does not want to allow anyone to abuse pain meds, I do not, but anyone looking for just an extra prescription will find no tolerance. I have been seeing Dr. Passey at least 6 years, good doctor. Gives me the best available care for chronic pain, listens, attentive to concerns, very helpful, not perfect but I would recomend him to my mother. Good doctor. Some might confuse him with doctor that has another middle initial. Be sure you are looking at Mark M. Passey

Dr. Passey has an excellent manor, takes an interest in me and is respectful. His approach is totalistic, not just from the point of view of his specialty. He spends ample time with me, puts me at ease and his follow-up is excellent. His new staff is professional and friendly. I highly recommend him.

Staff are unprofessional, violate HIPPA laws regarding patient confidentiality. Do not forward messages. Dr. Mark Passey leaves messages regarding patient medical information with office secretaries.Does not employ qualified nursing staff. Uses untrained medical technician. He does not return phone calls, talk to patients unless they have an appointment. i.e. call afterhours with a medical emergency, he will not respond. When he moved from an Intermountain Facility (Cottonwood Hospital) to a different building, patient skills are declining rapidly. Medical Billing department makes frequent errors, double charges patients. Each office visit bill is different even though exact same procedures are used.
