Dr. Mark R Hoffman, MD

I saw Dr. Hoffman in urgent care. He was prompt and thurough. Wanted make sure in the future I don’t hesitate to seek care because I don’t want to feel like a bother. He was nice and able to make his point how I waited too long to seek care. Changed my mind on how I will be in the future.

Dr Hoffman saw my 13 year old daughter today at the Providence urgent care. He highly exaggerated risks of a medication I have been recommended by other health professionals and told my daughter there's a high risk she would die if she took it. Instead of giving her a prescription that would actually help her, he prescribed two separate medications that he personally told us wouldn't help much at all. He said that other doctors in his clinic would prescribe the meds I was inquiring about it but he refused to. Pretty much we saw him for treatment and received nothing more than leaving my daughter scared of dying and still sick and in pain.

When faced with a major medical situation and a major decision about surgery, he deliberately misled me about the information on the pathology report. I did my own research and came to a more accurate conclusion about that report. He then preceded to tell me how I should think and fell about the situation instead of asking me how I felt, or if I had any questions.

Worst Dr. appointment ever. Verbatim response to question about blood pressure being low suddenly and seeing stars upon standing - "You're a woman, my wife has low blood pressure too." - Talking to him was like spitting in the wind. Failed to address any issues brought up.
