Dr. Mark Anthony Runfola

I have been blessed to have this man as my oncology surgeon. His caring and gentle spirit overflows with every visit. He has now helped me in 6 surgeries.. A beautiful man, inside and out. Blessed I am to call him my Doctor.

Dr. Runfola was recommended to my husband by his dermatologist Susan Iolia in Surprise. Although it is over a hour from our home and we are new to Arizona (Seattle) we went to see Dr. Runfola due to a melanoma discovered at the dermatologist. Although Ed has not had surgery yet and is scheduled for tomorrow Sept. 6th we feel very confident that he will take very good care and do his expertise surgery. I am from a medical family as my brother-in- law has just retired as a internist, my sister is a medical auditor for medicare and my nephew and his wife are both attorneys for healthcare. I of course ask many questions and Dr. Runfola was so kind and caring and concerning with our first visit and explained every part of what to expect from surgery. Dr Runfola is the kindest and most compassionate surgeon anyone could ever want. His miracle hands performed a very fatal surgery that has improved my quality of life. He was very honest in answering all my questions with some answers I did not want to hear. I knew my life was in his hands and with both our Faith being strong it was very successful. I have terminal cancer and the the surgery he performed on me has given me a life I hadn't had for sometime. He is a very respected surgeon and all the nurses had nothing but great things to say about him. Dr. Runfola has been my surgeon for almost a year now. He is seriously the most amazing man. My whole life was turned upside down with cancer diagnosis but he always keeps me calm. When you are in the office his attention is all on you no matter how busy he is. If i call in with questions his staff or himself contact you in a timely manner. He talks in terms you can understand and will answer any and all questions you have. He is beyond caring and I would recommend him to any person I know.

Doctor Runfola is both caring and an excellent doctor. I have had two surgeries with him and he explains everything in laymans terms. I would rate him among the best.

Dr. Runfola has operated on me twice, and my referring Radiologists always rave about him. I caught the hospital O.R. staff making unforgiveable documentation errors (L vs. R, and how many to cut out ), but I was correctly confident Dr. Runfola knew exactly what we were doing. He's not "quick to cut" as so many surgeons are.
