Dr. Mark S Goldfarb, MD

I had a really bad experience with this doctor. First, it took them 2 hours to start taking a look at my eyes. Then, they did more stuff than what I was looking for. And finally, the doctor put papers in my eyes after touching them with his bare hands, whish he at least used gloves. I'd never recommend this place to anyone.

The procedure and wait time before meeting the Dr is rather long.

Dr. Goldfarb seems to be knowledgeable and skilled in terms of his medical abilities, however, I will never return to his office. In the past, he has repeatedly tried to coerce me into purchasing contacts through his office after I specified that I prefer to buy them online for cheaper. During my last visit I asked for some water while in the waiting room. One assistant gave me a cup so that I could go to the bathroom and fill it with tap water. A different assistant, very kindly brought me a new water bottle from the back fridge and told me to pretend I had not gotten it from their office so that the assistant would not get in trouble. What kind of opthalmologist does not offer a water cooler in the office? That same visit Dr. Goldfarb wrote me a glasses prescription but refused to write a contact prescription so that I would have to come back on a separate occasion and follow up - and so that I would be billed for yet a second visit. I will not be returning to that office again.

I have been going to Dr. Goldfarb for more than 15 years for eye exams and he is a great doctor! Now I take my young children and even my elderly grandfather to see him for checkups too. Dr. Goldfarb is very caring, knowledgeable, and well-educated. (He even has a wall full of awards and honors in addition to an MD degree and residency training.) Plus, he has a clean, nice office and the office staff is friendly and caring.

My mother went to Dr. Goldfarb and he made her wait over two hours in his office waiting room. She is 80 years old and had seen him a few days prior, but her eye infection got worse and worse with what he prescribed for her. He treated her VERY POORLY, talked to her as if she were a child and got angry and slammed her folder down on the counter. The absolute height of un-professionalism, rudeness and general nastiness. He should not be practicing.

Would not recommend this office. Lack of courtesy and professionalism in the office.
