Dr. Mark S O'brien, MD

I have been seeing Dr. O'Brien for years. He is quick and accurate. I've never had a single problem with his service. Recommended.

Worst doctor ever. He was in the room literally 3 minutes and would not answer any questions. VERY RUDE

Dr. O'Brien diagnosed my gout and high blood pressure. He actually listened to me when I told him I wanted to do things as naturally as possible, he is a great doctor!

Stated we had significant philosophical difference in our views medical care and treatment, Dr. O'Brien advised that I seek a new primary doctor. I never gave my views during our interaction and he was aware I had bad experiences with prior doctors. All of sudden after I asked to see a GI he mentions we have differences. I'm sure other doctors spoke to him after our visit. He didn't mention any concerns during our visit. This is very unprofessional. I don't recommend IU doctors at all. It's like a high-school where doctors spread gossip. The front office staff at IU always seem agitated and at times rude depending on who you speak with. I just think it's odd to mention our differences when we never discussed it. I'm relieved to move on from IU very big disappointment.

He basically told me my son needs a psychiatrist when he was not getting better! Went to get a second opinion and Found out he has terrible viral infection (mono)! Terrible chairside manners, he kept repeating that he is the one with the degree. The staff is great though, its sad that these nice girls have to work with such a jerk

Staff is great...but the Dr. could care less how you feel, he talks to hear himself talk

Horrible bed side manner! Rude, inconsiderate, would not take my dog to him!

I would not recommend this doctor. Although he may be very qualified his bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired!

my son had a tonsillar abscess that had missed by 2 other physicians and dr. obrien diagnosed it and my son had emergency surgery that night. I can't express my gratitude enough, I feel he saved my sons life.

The diagnosis in the room was allergies not the diagnosis on the release paper Broncitius. Ordered a chest Xray to prove my husand wrong that he only had allerges. Actual said "Results were clear just as I knew they would be. Then was told if he was not better in 2 weeks assume that after 6 weeks he has throat cancer until proven other wise by a ENT. Irony: My husband refuses to go to a dr because he says you dont have cancer until you go to a dr.
