Dr. Mark Shekhman

I'm confident that his surgical skills are top notch. I do not think that he has very good listening skills, or concern for patient quality of life following surgery. He is focused on his stats. If there are no fails for his record I don't think he's interested in how your progress in PT is going or whether you still have pain at night. He literally talks over you and acts like he doesn't hear you. Talented surgeon, mediocre physician.

Dr. Shekhman did a fine job on both my right and left hips. His office staff was available and informative, offering support and clarification when needed. I was positively impressed across the board.

Dr. Shekhman and his amazing team provide the very best care from pre-op through to full recovery and everything in between. I have never experienced such full care. I am so grateful for this experience. I LOVED the daily support through the FORCE app! Thank you

My recent experience of receiving a total right knee replacement with Dr, Shekhman and the Hartford Hospital Bone and Joint Institute could not have been a more positive experience. Dr. Shekhman's encouragement and confidence, as well as that of his staff, that the results would positively be relief of pain that I had been dealing with for a long time. He was absolutely right! The pre-op therapy, and instruction did much to increase my confidence in the procedure, as well as relieve my anxiety. The doctor's precise and direct description as to what I could expect every step of the way was spot on. I can't imagine that there is another facility that operates with such precision and personal care as I experienced with Hartford Hospitaj Bone and Joint Institute. I can't thank you enough.

Dr. Shekhman’s operation must have gone very well because i was walking a couple of hundred yards with a cane within 2 weeks!

I have been working with Dr.Shekhman for many years as my left hip deteriorated and the pain increased. When finally deciding to get a replacement everyone has a doctor they recommend. I knew that I was gonna stick with Dr Shekhman, and boy am I glad I did! New hip is perfect and pain free, and I’m back to my old self plus a few bionic parts!

I was surprised to hear that I needed a knee replacement. Dr. Shekhman explained the procedure and I felt confident that I was in good hands. My knee is stable and strong and feels better than it has in years.
