Had high hopes as I've heard nothing but raving reviews. I, unfortunately did not have such good reviews. I went to this provider to try and find answers to problems that were unsolved. This provider wanted to focus on issues that were already diagnosed and being cared for by a specialist. I can see where he would be great if you come to him with already diagnosed ailments and all he has to do is the follow-up care BUT for someone that has some complicated issues I felt like he just wanted to focus on the previously diagnosed issues. There is nothing worse as a woman than feeling like you have to try and convince a male doctor that believe it or not, women have other issues that aren't related to depression, anxiety , or fibromyalgia. I do not suffer from any of those BUT of course that's what the insinuation was. I'm glad that he is able to be a great provider to othes, I guess I will have to continue my search. On another side note, it's really a sad state of affairs that now-a-days… a primary care provider has to literally refer you out for anything and everything. I had the same provider for 30 years only got referred out a couple of times. My PCP ordered any and every test, provided care for all ailments, and performed procedures in the office. I left Dr. Shellnuts office and he wanted to refer me to three different places for ridiculous stuff.

Very friendly and knowledgable. Seemed to really care about my conditions. I had all my care for my cancer and general health problems at the Va around the country before coming here.
