We are leaving Mayo after surgery with Dr Truty. The surgery went spectacular for removal of my wife’s tumor. Dr. Truty met us before and after surgery and the staff, the surgical assistants, anesthesia doctors and Dakota and Chase our nurses was truly exceptional! We are indebted to you Dr. Truty and thank you for your kind compassionate words, care and skills.

Former patient! This mans a sicko and has no empathy for his patients, especially the after care when he screwed the surgery up. Medical documentation can be provided for verification of this claim! This mans a true sicko! Read the bad reviews on him please please please. Writing this if I can save you from going under the knife with this guy!

Told tumor was inoperable at “major” center. Sought 2nd opinion at Mayo with Dr. Truty. Holy Cow, told us so many things we were unaware of in terms of treatments, why, when, etc. and what surgery would entail following all the treatment. So glad i got another opinion!

Dr Mark Truty is a phenomenal surgeon

Excellent surgeon, wonderful personality and great sense of humor. Thanks to his fabulously performed surgery (Whipple procedure) I had a fast recovery and returned back to work after 7 weeks. I was also very pleased with the outstanding support from Dr. Truty and his team during my stay in the hospital and later. All my phone calls were promptly returned, and all of my questions and concerns were addressed.

after multiple 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinions I went to Dr. Truty. He sees only the most complex cancer cases. Extremely thorough and complete explanation of my situation and was able to offer me hope and come up with a novel treatment plan that is not being done anywhere else...wow. Everyone with cancer needs to get another opinion!

Had to have a second small bowel resection in a half of year due to the first doctor missing cause of problem. Dr. Truty is very thorough and professional. Dr. Truty ensures proper pain control and both him and his team follow their patient's care closely in the hospital. My surgery was 2 weeks ago. I also had an appendectomy, hernia repair, and scar revision. All appears to be healing nicely. Thanks Dr. Truty!

Never had the chance to tell you thank you for giving me the gift of life back. After learning about my terrible diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and hearing how my life would soon be over, your coordinated treatment plan with chemotherapy and radiation and an aggressive surgery has given me the greatest gift...life after pancreatic cancer. Although I was skeptical and my home physicians had different opinions, your easy to understand explanations of how this cancer behaves and how we can beat the odds gave me hope, something I did not have before seeing you. Thank you so much for your amazing skill and compassionate approach. Me and family will always be grateful. Keep fighting for us!

I loved having Dr Truty as one of my doctors during my stay at MD Anderson. He sat by my bedside and listened to me when I talked. He was firm but caring when instructing me on how to take care of stomach tube myself. I was sad when he left for Minnesota but happy that he would be with his family and now the city he was going to would have a doctor who was capable of dealing with the same type of disease I was treated for at MD, He and his family are still in my prayers!
