Dr. Mark Wayne Walter, MD

I found Dr. Walter to be a compassionate and knowledgeable psychiatrist. After years of seeing therapists and other doctors without improvement, Dr. Walter was able to diagnose me correctly and start me on the right treatment for manic depression. He has a reputation for not doling out certain drugs that a lot of people in this town come looking for, and that probably upsets those people. As for me, two thumbs up!!

My normal dr was on maternity leave so so nurses made me an appointment with Walters soon after nurses called me back to inform me he does not believe in adult add/adhd and would not prescribe me any of the meds my normal doctor has been prescribing me. Made me feel like I was doing something wrong. Dr is a waste of patients money.

He doesn't listen because he doesn't care about you! How can you be a psychiatrist with horrible communication skills? He is condescending, speaking down to you like a disciplinarian does to a naughty child.

My husband saw Dr. WALTER for the first time recently and he was very disappointed. Dr .Walter is arrogant, unprofessional and has no compassion for his patients. I have spoke with many people and former patients of his that say the same thing. He doesn't listen to the concerns and makes them feel less of a person and when you leave his office you feel worse about yourself than before you went in. I am very disappointed. He needs a lesson in compassion.zero stars!

He doesn't listen to the patient. He does all the talking and just looks at his computer.

Horrible refuses to listen to concerns. It's his way or the highway attitude sucks no bedside manner and not very approachable at all. Wont leason to what maybe affecting the patients life to properly dose meds.

Dr. Walter saved my life.
