Dr. Marta Caceres Dahiya, MD

Dr. Dahiya is a native of Colombia, who received her M.D. at the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia. She was ranked third among her classmates. She performed a post-medical school internship in Colombia where she practiced general medicine in underserved communities. Dr. Dahiya was directly responsible for acute and subacute care clinics.

She came to the U.S. to pursue further post-graduate training in Internal Medicine and subsequently Radiation Oncology. She began her tenure in the U.S. as a research assistant in the Department of Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she performed research in Infectious Disease.

Dr. Dahiya then completed two years of training in Internal Medicine followed by four years of training in Radiation Oncology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Dahiya is also a recipient of the Scholarly Activity Award 1998-1999 from the Department of Medicine. During …her Radiation Oncology training Dr. Dahiya was also appointed as Chief Resident and has published research in nationally and internationally recognized peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Dahiya is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO), the Texas Medical Association (TMA) and the Bexar County Medical Society. She enjoys traveling and painting in her free time. Dr. Dahiya is fluent in Spanish.
